Very cool. I take back negative thoughts I had about you Jack.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

I am told that final design of bend2 resolves second question neatly. Progress is real.
Regarding first question / comment: Still will need a lot of native re-implementation (and even then will need many lower level libraries with ffi’s) OR approach it similar to how urbit tried to explain “exhaustive testing” of underlying jet to establish a set of “proven behaviors” in release ver of programs using effectively a “short-hand” that’s outside of formal proof system (needs to be just accepted). Now, urbit’s hoon was never a language meant for formal verification, so interested in seeing how bend2 tackles it.
These are just my intuitions. I haven’t really played with bend2 yet.

Sounds cool! Thanks.

So if I wanted to use a library for kafka, it would have to be native bend2 kafka library instead of target lang’s library. Since you’d have to produce proof. Ok, got it.
> Bend2 is meant to be a disposable language
but most of the errors are due to functions across different file scopes, forgive me for being stupid here, so bend2 isn’t intended for that? At unit level in that case would work fine, but if transpiled code’s usage of a function for instance has not changed, then ai makes change to function, and that function passes bend2 muster, you’d still have error. Or am I retarded and just talking about a trivial case here?
Thank you kindly

The problem with young striver types nowadays is that they bought into the “I have only X years” narrative that they are willing to be completely amoral and betray their friends.
Be kind and loyal to one another. You have a whole life ahead of you.
Also forgive me. Many disappointments I have could fill the ocean, but I forgive. God forgives and I forgive.

Driscoll's set out around 15 years ago to turn blueberries into China’s next big food trend. By 2020, it was cranking out thousands of tons of blueberries for Chinese supermarkets.
Then came local competition and IP theft. Read more: on.wsj.com/4BtoUyb

A conversation that has happened many times in banking, with various flavor texts, from fintech to public banking to microfinance.
A: We think there is an opportunity to write loans to an underserved population.
B: At usuriously high rates?
A: No, at usual rates. Maybe lower.

@odinsbadeye He’s thinking “underserved” is the same as “undeserving.”

@true_jae_yang Is it possible to actually hack anything with that? I figured it was unimportant?

@HumanLevelJen I think of sharing uid similar to sharing personal pictures with clues of where I am. Not hackable as-is, but just giving more crumbs of info I don’t need to share.

"God has permitted and does permit us to be shaken by adversity. Difficult times lie ahead. We will be greatly tested. We have to take this warning seriously and live spiritually… Many saints would have loved to have lived in our times and have had our chance to struggle for tters because it is not a struggle against an Ali Pasha, or a Hitler and a Mussolini, but a struggle against the devil himself. For this reason, our wages will be heavenly… The saints will become more holy and the vile will become more vile. Yet I feel great consolation inside. This is only a storm; like past storms, it will pass. May the Good God take evil and turn it into good. Amen."

@true_jae_yang I'm working on making Yukimi more powerful by making it more of an intelligent GUI-IDE for Nix but it still takes care of the sundry needs nicely and makes the system a lot more legible.
Yukimi is my GUI package manager for NixOS in Sekka, Sekka being the distro.
