I know of no other place on earth where the shooting of two soldiers leads to the displacement of 2000 people who had no connection to the shooting other than being in the neighbourhood.

The snipers never stopped firing live ammunition directly at the starving people, who were facing death just to obtain a bag undreds of Palestinians were shot by snipers positioned atop tall towers, as if Palestinians had become moving targets for target practice. Despite the extreme danger, Palestinians kept coming in endless streams because they had children dying of hunger in their tents.
