The most disingenuous left line is "no hierarchy of racism". It's used only about antisemitism and actually mean they want it deprioritised below issues they care about more. Jews are only asking so called "anti-racists" for the same concern they rightly demand for others.

That's why they are so keen to rubbish a report on antisemitism in schools. Because they are the ones with the hierarchy.

Bloody immigrants eh?
World-leading cardiac surgeon Asif Hasan was surrounded by the children who received the gift of life thanks to his unerring skills at the emotional climax of another memorable Pride of Britain ceremony. 🥹
Now 70 years old, Mr Hasan has just retired after 35 years of service at Newcastle upon Tyne, but just after receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, he had an extra special surprise: a cast of patients who would not be alive without him. ❤️

Relax jews. Owen Jones has decided there’s no antisemitism to worry about in schools. Such a relief we have had him these last years to explain why things that look like antisemitism aren’t. What a mensch
The government's antisemitism in schools report is a travesty.
It's riddled with errors, distortions and contradictions.
And it will be used to silence people over Palestine 👇

For the Sally Rooney - Salman Rushdie parallel to work, a major Jewish leader would have had to call for her murder, gangs of marauding Jews would have had to burn down bookstores, and a Jewish extremist would have had to stab her eye out with a knife.
If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops – when that was still possible – you’d know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, “Rooney” and “Rushdie” had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity.

After watching yet another smug far left (non-Jewish) Green Party activist try and condescendingly tell a Jewish person what antisemitism is, I got frustrated enough to write the following piece.

So this argument runs. Israel won't allow a two state solution living next door to Palestinians and is too strong to let it happen, but a one state solution is much more available? That's your notion of pragmatism?
“If anything Netanyahu is a moderating force in Israeli politics” — a two-state solution is not on the table and hasn’t been for a very long time. It’s notable how the self-proclaimed political pragmatists are the ones getting most upset when you point this out

Interesting that in pushing back against my piece saying the Greens have been taken over and are now a different party, the one thing he doesn't mention as a reason for supporting them is climate change.
@FT What a disappointing take on those joining @TheGreenParty
1. Addressing gross inequality
2. Wealth Tax
3. Water nationalisation
4. Rent controls
5. Recognising Palestinians as HUMAN
All very European
All very civilised
@robertshrimsley I’m not young or Muslim … just humane

Even more remarkable is how few Irish news organisation considered this newsworthy.
What in the actual f is going on in Ireland?? I keep thinking surely this virus is contained to a group of small but very loud people. But no. It appears to have genuinely swept through the whole country. I feel so so worried for the tiny community there and hope with everything they are ok. This is a severe sickness - I wouldn't feel at all comfortable going somewhere like that.

The biggest clue to Reform's view of its own position is that whenever it feels threatened it retreats into its base with ever more clickbaity hardline takes on immigration and asylum. Recent months have all been about shoring up its right flank rather than broadening its appeal
Know I've said this a lot recently. But every time Reform unveil any form of policy it implodes within 24 hours. All this talk of greater professionalism is just a mirage. In fact, I think they're going backwards. Policy was more robust and grounded under Tice, than Farage.

After the Green Party's "Zionism is Racism" vote, the Leader of Haringey Council, which is controlled by the Greens, wrote to various Synagogues in the borough to "reassure" them.
I want to show you Highgate Synagogue's reply. I believe it is worth reading in its entirety.

Can't believe what i'm hearing
What the actual f*ck did I just hear?
Finkelstein: "The reason we don't have huge levels of antisemitism in Europe now is because Hitler solved the Jewish question."
“What do you mean by that?”
Finkelstein: “6 million Jews were exterminated. That solved the Jewish question” x.com/superhumanity/…

Good news Jews. Victor is reassured
I was deeply troubled by the motion passed at Green Party conference yesterday, which I completely condemn.
I have had conversations today with Southwark Green Party colleagues which I feel reassured by, and has led to this joint statement being released. 1/3

Before the war there was a split between jews who wanted a homeland (ideally in their historic land of origin) and those believed in assimilation. What changed this was the Holocaust which suddenly made most jews see the need for a lifeboat, even if they hoped not to get in it.
One of the first people to promote the idea that Zionism was racism was not in fact the Soviets but UK cabinet minister Edwin Montagu, the only Jewish member of the Cabinet when the Balfour Declaration was issued, which he opposed, calling Zionism a ‘mischievous political creed’.
