@laraseligman @IlvesToomas @WSJ I don’t think that refineries angered Musk. It was the killing of his bot army that got him pissed off

@laraseligman @WSJ Incredible bullshit pushed by former politico propagandist (redundancy noted). Not a single individual on the record. @WSJ should just be in the fiction section at Barnes and Noble.

@laraseligman @WSJ Incredible scoop from an unnamed source.
So here is scoop as well: “an unnamed source has told the WSJ that the moon is actually made of cheese and the Musk is planing on using the boring company to steal moon cheese to destroy the European cheese market.”

@laraseligmanf@WSJre's no evidence backing it up.
Furthermore, it's a US military asset. Why do you feel Ukraine is entitled? What benefit does the continuation of this war provide for the USA? I believe Trump was pissed that Ukraine was bombing diesel refineries in Russia.
Because, ya know, people like you complain about gas prices, right? Do you want this nonsense to end ever? or just keep status quo?

@laraseligman @KlasfeldReports @WSJ At what point does the EU look to charge Musk criminally for assisting Russia? At what point do they ban his companies from doing business in Europe? At what point do they haul him in front of their legislatures for questioning?

@laraseligman @WSJ It's not possible to hate the media enough.
A Ukraine supporting kook already tried to assassinate Trump.
This "incredible scoop" isn't sourced, but provides an number of similar kooks the motivation to threaten Elon's life.
The media is the enemy of the people.

@laraseligman @WSJ Zero common sense. If any defense contractor acted unilaterally and disobeyed government orders in a war zone, they would be fired…

@laraseligman @WSJ Even if he did...who gives a damn, we dont owe Zelenskyy anything. Starlink was supposed to be for citizen use for free, not for drone strikes on energy

@laraseligman @WSJ The Economist asked in July: “Should you be afraid of Elon Musk?”
🛰 🇺🇲 🇺🇦 The Economist asked in July: “Should you be afraid of Elon Musk?”
Today, The Wall Street Journal reports that Musk personally ordered the Starlink slowdown that disrupted Ukrainian military operations, including drone missions intended to defend against Russian attacks.
oduced on October 14, interfered with Ukrainian drone strikes and air-defense missions, including operations against Russian attack drones, according to the Journal, which cites US officials and people familiar with the decision.
The newspaper also reports that Musk and President Donald Trump discussed the Starlink decision before the restrictions took effect and spoke again after the disruption became public.
That raises a serious question about what the White House knew, and when.
The revelation complicates earlier explanations of who controlled the restrictions. Musk had maintained that the military-grade Starshield service was ultimately controlled by the US military and the president. Trump said he did not believe either of them was responsible.
Reuters previously reported that the instruction originated inside the White House.
The Journal's latest reporting points directly to Musk, with some sources suggesting he acted independently.
⚠️ What remains unresolved is whether Trump approved the restrictions, merely knew they were being considered, or was presented with a decision Musk had already made. Reuters has reported the Journal's findings but says it has not independently verified the underlying allegations.
The implications extend beyond this particular decision. A satellite network operated by a private company has become essential to Ukraine's ability to conduct military operations and defend against Russian attacks. Decisions affecting access to that network can have immediate consequences on the battlefield.
The Economist's question was about the extraordinary concentration of power in one man's hands.
The Wall Street Journal's reporting has made that question more urgent.

@laraseligman @WSJ Isn't this treasonous?
Selling security product to countries including the USA and manipulating its operations?
Sells the product?
Switches it on and off at his own will?
Breach of contract and likely treasonous.

@laraseligman @WSJd and operated by the Dept of War. Something that 5 minutes of research would reveal to you. Elon does not have the ability to do so. Also continuing stories such as these now that SpaceX is a publicly traded company could be construed as stock manipulation and carry SEC consequences

@laraseligman @WSJ So, he sells product to the US government and then still orders how it will operate? Something new Congress and administration should carefully investigate and take into consideration when deciding on new contracts.

@laraseligman @WSJh story to believe, I am more likely to believe the statement made by someone willing to share their name.
This article just sounds ridiculous.
“Last week, Musk capped the speeds at which Ukrainian hardware could stay connected to the satellite-based network, the people said, rendering some offensive drones and interceptor drones virtually useless.”
“the people said” 🤣
It sounds like a 3rd grader wrote this.
This is an “incredible scoop” of dogshit reporting. It won’t matter when this is dubunked, because the lie will have already taken hold amongst those who want to believe it.

@laraseligman @WSJ "Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military-grade version of Starlink". There is no such version! You just violated the user agreement by using a civilian system for the military, which he let them do for ONLY DEFENSIVE purposes, which they then violated.

@ChrisCoons You guys can’t even get your narratives on point. Starlink/Starshield, interrupted/slowed down/stopped, Elon/White House/Trump? You all don’t even know what you’re talking about.

@laraseligman @WSJ Doesn’t matter.
Ukraine is not an ally.
Elon saved their command and control out of his pocket when Russia invaded (years ago).
But now it’s just a forever war.

@laraseligman @JenGriffinFNC @WSJ Shoddy reporting. Starlink (commercial) and Starshield (US government) are two separate products and journalists cannot seem to grasp the difference. Was Ukraine provided Starshield by the US? If so, what were the terms of the contract? Starlink cannot be used for targeting.

Took@emmatuckerWSJSJ it has become far less reputable. Look at the activists that work their now.
