Elon Musk understands something that the political establishment desperately wants people to forget.

Government isn’t some magical institution that protects you from concentrated corporate power. It is concentrated power. And unlike corporations, it has the legal authority to use force against you.

Now imagine giving that power to a global government. One political hierarchy. Billions of people. No competing jurisdiction to escape to. No meaningful alternative when the people in charge decide your rights are inconvenient. That’s not progress. That’s the blueprint for the most terrifying monopoly in human history.

Look at what’s happening across Europe.

More authority concentrated in distant institutions. More regulatory power. More restrictions on speech. More decisions made by people ordinary citizens can barely hold accountable.

The answer has always been decentralization, private property, free markets, and the freedom to walk away.

Yet the political left keeps demanding more centralization, more bureaucracy, and more authority over ordinary people. And somehow they call that liberation.

What a fucking joke.
@Rothmus Those who are opposed to corporations and favor government do not realize that government is simply the largest, most monopolistic corporation of all and it has a monopoly on violence.

Are you sure it wasn’t lack of air conditioning. Because I feel like it was probably lack of air conditioning.
Blistering record heat in Europe this summer killed more than 50,000 people, with nearly two-thirds of that death toll blamed on human-caused climate change, a new study found. abcnews.link/EUhX7dR

"Scenario planning is not a plot, it's just good common sense."

***************************
When your "scenario planning" includes coordinating with Democrat governors to declare the President "illegitimate" while those same governors claim sovereignty over America for themselves, while also coordinating with foreign powers for recognition, that sure as hell IS a "plot," you seditionist morons.

No amount of pretending otherwise changes that cold, hard reality.

4 years of these two bitches asking Biden what his favorite ice cream is and running interference for Hunter
This is hysterical.

Dana Bash tells Nicolle Wallace that "real objective reporters" from "traditional news networks" are being undermined by reporters from right-leaning outlets.

Because they ask "Dear Leader" question like "'I'm sorry, Mr. President. Are you great or are you Bash. Nicolle Wallace. CNN. MSNOW.

Bashing other outlets for being partisan and undermining the real objective journos.

They would seriously have you believe that a Biden or Obama press conference wasn't full of sycophantic media.

I'm dead.

One in seven new cars sold in the U.K. is paid for through a disability benefit, per the WSJ.

The scheme lets people swap part of their disability payments for a brand-new car every three years.

Among those who got new cars last year, by primary medical condition, according to government figures:

Tennis elbow: 40
Wheat intolerance: 50
Dyslexia: 320

The program now has about 815,000 customers, up roughly 200,000 in two years.

Did Musk fiddle with Ukrainian Starlink or Trump?

No. Zelensky did.

When Russia jammed GPS, the terminals thought they were in Russia and stopped working. Ukrainian engineers soldered onto them and disabled GPS. They worked again.

Russia then spoofed GPS the same way. Starlink Musk blocked it with extra credentials.

Starlink has a 100 mph speed limit, but Ukrainian engineers disabled the speed sensor.

Drones then flew into Russia “while stationary in Ukraine,” enabling deep strikes.

In a maintenance update, Musk’s engineers limited the satellites a stationary terminal could use. This stopped the attacks, as the drones switched satellites often.

Zelensky then said, “You fiddled with Starlink.” No—they did not. The comedian had.

This is a fascinating exercise in faulty recursive logic.

This is from BlueSky, which never fails to amuse in its shocking stupidity.

Basically what this lunatic is saying is that by exposing the Color Revolution plot, we are actually the plotters setting the stage to justify s the good and decent Americans behind the Color Revolution fear... and so on... and so on...

The wheels on the bus go round and round.

Here is the difference and why this logic is so faulty:

WE'RE NOT THE ONES CAUGHT ON TAPE PLANNING HOW TO OVERTHROW OUR CONSTITUTIONAL ORDER.

Geez do these people have defective brains.

UPDATE: The DOJ’s demand to set aside ballots in California is impossible to carry out and has no basis in federal law, Los Angeles County told a federal court last night.

Voting is already underway, the county said, and once a ballot leaves its envelope, California’s ns mean it can’t be traced back to a voter.

David Friedberg reveals France's public spending is 57% of GDP: greater than that of communist countries

"This chart is a measure of public spending as a percent of GDP; Rand Group Research published it. And you can see the comparison of France's public spending as a percent of spending as a percent of GDP of major communist nations, Soviet Union during, communist Romania, Venezuela under Chavez, and then communist China."

"It certainly been a socialist state, right? That's my point. I think this is such a precious lesson for the West to look at. We all think that there's some political problem with Macron or whoever it was."

"The more the government spends, the worse the conditions get for its people, not the opposite. And then the people riot and revolt and say that the government's not spending enough and the government needs to be doing more."

"Take a guess where the US is today. Federal government spending is $7.4 trillion, state and local government spending is $4.6 trillion. You add those two together, it's $12 trillion out of a $33 trillion GDP. US public spending is roughly 36% of GDP. France today is the same as the US, it's about 120% debt to GDP."

"France today is operating its national government spending deficit is 5.4% of GDP. The US is actually 6.2% of GDP. France is I think probably the first to go because they're only growing their economy at half a percent while the US is growing 2.3%."

"So we're still kind of hanging on because we have some degree of economic growth that's allowing us to kind of hold things together."

"But I would argue that we are facing the same sort of fiscal cliff that leads to this extraordinary social unrest as France, all the economic measures are aligned, we're at the same rate, we're at the same set of problems."

Texas early voting update: boring, no changes, no evidence of a blue wave or Talarico having a shot.

BTW, all the faked polls showing Democrats ahead are part of a strategy. When Democrats underperform next month, libtards are going to claim the election was stolen and try a uprising with tacit support from elected Democrats.

Given that elected Democrats are getting arrested left and right, I welcome these losers padding out the federal cell blocks.

As Judge Jones said in her Opinion, just because Executive authority has been unused does not mean it was never there.

What matters is what Congress did, not how the Executive reacted to what Congress did.
The deep state, in this equation, is every presidential administration, court and Congress since 1996.

A 71-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a Tesla in full self-driving mode on Interstate 80 in Vallejo, California. The driver stayed at the scene. California Highway Patrol noted that full self-driving "is not fully autonomous." trib.al/s97PwhU
Community note
CHP dashcam review shows the pedestrian entered I-80 from the right shoulder and stepped directly into the Tesla's ~70 mph path; the vehicle braked and steered left attempting to avoid impact. He was also struck by other vehicles whose drivers fled.
