Between 1960 and 1971 Saenger used Pentagon money to dose 88 patients as nuclear battlefield proxies without full consent.
The 1993 investigation forced the records open and confirmed thousands of tests on 16,000 people. Clinton apologized in 1995, the government paid $4.8 million, and no scientist was prosecuted.
The institutions never faced a criminal reckoning.

A colleague found the files on Blanchard’s laptop in June 2009 while he was abroad and reported it.
Before any of this, Ofsted had already rated the nursery good for child protection. A later review concluded its management and staffing created the conditions that let the abuse continue.
George received a minimum 7 year sentence and left prison in September 2019. Families still have no way to know which children were involved.

In March 1940, months after the Soviets e the Nazis, Beria proposed liquidating nearly 26,000 prisoners for the purpose of eliminating officers, police, and the educated class, so Poland could never rebuild its military or intellectual leadership.
Stalin signed it off and they were marched into the forest, shot one by one, and dumped in mass graves at Katyn and other sites.
When German soldiers uncovered the graves in 1943, Moscow immediately pinned the killings on the Nazis and Soviet prosecutors even tried to enter the massacre as a German war crime at Nuremberg.
Communist regimes in Poland and the USSR locked the lie in as settled history until 1990, when as the Soviet system collapsed, Gorbachev admitted the NKVD carried out the killings on Stalin’s direct order.
And Russia’s parliament confirmed it again in 2010.

When he opposed a transgender athletes bill that year he told the Texas House that God is nonbinary and cited Hebrew grammar for “spirit” in Genesis.
At the same committee hearing, he claimed modern science recognizes 6 reversing to 2 after Fox pressed him during the campaign.
On Rogan in 2025, he argued the Bible supports abortion rights because God asked Mary’s consent before the incarnation.
A seminary trained Democrat who spent years pushing those claims has no place winning statewide.

The guy running to represent Texas wants to dismantle capitalism and bury oil and gas.
When he was a state legislator in 2020, Talarico told Austin Sierra Club activists that capitalism works with white supremacy and climate change as 3 oppressive systems America must begin Texas leading in oil and gas was like being the leader in cassette tapes in the 1980s and the industry was not gonna last. Texas produces more than 40% of America’s crude oil, the backbone of the state.
After the recording surfaced this year via CNN’s KFile, his campaign calls him a proud capitalist and says the comments missed the mark.
Texans vote November 3. Don’t vote Talarico.
