Exciting news - we're officially on the ballot! Together with our family and friends, Dean and I traveled to Frankfort to file my candidacy to serve as your next State Senator for District 6. This moment would not be possible without the encouragement, love, and support so many In the months ahead, we'll connect with our neighbors across District 6 to hear how we can care for them and their families, and how they want our next State Senator to care for Kentucky.

We're 85% of the way to our fundraising goal for the year, and would love your support to start 2026 in the strongest position possible to win the primary in May and the general election next November: christianforky.com/donate

Our amazing Pediatrics Department has created a wonderful window display at the corner of Floyd & Chestnut. Shoutout to Peds fellowship coordinator Buffy Sexton for the idea - we are sure the children in the hospital across the street🩷it! @UofLPeds @UofLPedsRes @uoflmedschool

Dear America,

Happy Thanksgiving. Some pro-tips from the ER:

1. Do not drop a frozen turkey into a deep fryer. It is basically a bomb. Defrost…asap if you haven’t started already.

2. Don’t become carved meat. Avocados are the fingers’ nemesis…followed by mandolines. Use caution.

3. Drinking and driving: don’t ever do it, but be cognizant it may be on roads especially during holidays.

4. If you’re going to talk (ahem, argue) religion/politics/old family drama at the dinner table with your hot-headed distant cousins and crazy uncle…remove any pointy implements first.

5. If you do your once-a-year visit of Nana in the nursing home at Thanksgiving, be aware…it is possible Nana may be different than she was a year ago when you last saw her. This is not usually a reason to take her out of the nursing home, bring her to the ER, and insist we find a new/better nursing home for her. Sad, but true…can’t say how often I see this one at TGiving/Xmas/NY.

Sure my fellow healthcare workers have many more…Happy 🦃🦃🦃 Day!

Great news, Kentucky – today we learned @AscendElements and SK ecoplant are investing $65 million in Hopkinsville to build an EV battery recycling facility, which will create 60 new jobs. This is in addition to Ascend's $1 billion facility, which is creating 400 new jobs. 1/2
