Yes.
Good to see @IronLoop_io build.
@bznotes This is the part people underrate. In CISA's Volt Typhoon advisory, the hackers had access to PuTTY profiles for water plants and an electrical substation, and in one case moved laterally to a control system. OT isn't a future problem.

Amazing.
Congrats @AppliedInt!
DIU has selected Fort Benning and Fort Hood as pilot locations for the next phase of the Robotic Operations for Autonomous Delivery and Sustainment (ROADS) prize challenge.

Five companies are advancing to Phase III: @ForterraDefense / @May_Mobility , @AppliedInt, land_AI_X / @Gatik_AI and @BotAutoAV were selected for further development and on base evaluations.

ROADS will help establish the operational, safety, and installation processes required to move commercial autonomy from isolated demonstrations toward repeatable deployment across the @DeptofWar.

My friends: ‘bad people’ aren’t just attaching websites for data. They are attacking critical facilities, super markets, factories, electric grid, water treatment facilities, car charging ports, and more…

OT Security is so so critically important.
Cognition CSO @alexstamos says hackers can run powerful AI models on home computers for almost nothing, while defenders pay a fortune for Claude Mythos:

"The per-token cost is going to be a huge issue for security. Bad guys are running these things for free on commodity my M5 Studio Ultra at home, I’m running abliterated GLM-5.3 to do experiments on, and it’s amazing what you can do with just consumer hardware."

"That costs effectively nothing per token, whereas if you’re paying Mythos-level prices, you’re not going to survive against a bunch of attackers."

"That’s one of the things I really appreciate about Cognition. We’re constantly cutting prices and trying to build our own models that are much cheaper than the frontier models but can do the same kind of security work."

A good reminder that part of his brain was eaten by a worm.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Novel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Nothing more humbling and special than returning to your roots. In Karachi.

For example, gas supply in pipes only lasts 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. Since I arrived at odd hours, this is how an egg is being fried for me since I am a special guest :-)

This is what Israel is doing in Hebron: Collective Punishment.

Collective punishment is a penalty or sanction applied to a group, family, community, or entire population for an offense committed by an individual member or a small number of people.

Article 33 of the Geneva Convention (IV) on Civilians explicitly states that no protected person may be punished for an offense they did not personally commit, and bans all measures of intimidation or terrorism.

Imposing collective punishment during an armed conflict is classified as a war crime under customary international law.

🙌🏽 It’s the ratio of input to output that is so incredible.
Who really creates value in venture? A) Where the heck is Sequoia with so much of NASDAQ? B) This list still needs to filter out the one-hit wonders open.substack.com/pub/odin/p/the…

What happens when AI moves off the screen and into the physical world?

At our latest Future Perfect in San Francisco, cohosted with @redglassvc and @rhobusiness, we gathered robotics founders and investors to explore what it takes to turn breakthroughs in hardware and AI into ur robotics panel with @brentmurri, @bznotes, @FoundryRobotics' @adarshkulkarni and @nvidia's Ben Levin tackled the realities of building in the physical world. @latifperacha and @ring founder Jamie Siminoff took on the challenge of building tech before the market is ready.

We also made room for a conversation about storytelling, a skill that doesn't always come naturally to technical founders but becomes essential when you're trying to win customers, recruit talent and earn trust years before commercialization. It's part of how M13 helps founders build businesses, not just technology.

Some of the best conversations happen spontaneously and offstage. Hardware pioneers like Jamie and @Jawbone's @hosain swapped ideas with the next generation of builders, including Velodex Robotics founders Parker Owan and Jeff Hardy and Emanate founder @kiaranirghin, alongside entrepreneurs like @AlexYancher, who sold @PassportGlobal1, and investors like @McCreadieWill.

That's what our gatherings do: bring together the people building what's next and giving them more reasons to know one another. Thank you for joining us, and see you next time!

Great read.
At @redglassvc we continue to invest in spaces and people we have conviction in. Our job is to cultivate a portfolio that others will find interesting down the line to invest in, at a lower cost of capital to us. And to help founders build real businesses. We are driven to make carry.

In mental math, Trump is obviously what @ScottWu46 wishes he was :-)
Trump: Pick a number. I say 49. Triple it. Divide by 4. Add 2019. Subtract 87. Divide by 3. Multiply by 9. What is the number. Not a lot of people are gonna be able to do that. I did it. I did it 3 times. I get no credit for it. I took da damn test.

This sort of stuff happens because frankly there are no real consequences for executives of tech companies. If people had to worry about potential jail time for tech indulging in criminal behavior, we would likely see things change very rapidly.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.

The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.

Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.

Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-…

He couldn’t be more right.
Despite having done VC for 18 years, I stay paranoid about not having an edge. And starting a VC business is hard!
Does the world really need another smart young investor with a generalist tech fund?

Having a strong network isn’t enough anymore. Everyone has access to one.

You need a genuinely unique perspective and an edge you truly believe in.
Otherwise, why venture into venture capital is hard and soul-crushing. Unless you’re passionate about it and truly believe you can be great, don’t enter venture capital.

What’s your unique edge?
