Itâs almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone whoâs working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now.
The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way.
But whatâs happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago youâre likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now.
Iâve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains werenât wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly werenât either.
With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. Itâs a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didnât work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.

Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineerâs laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the companyâs funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

Tony and I have explored bringing Instacart and DoorDash together on and off over the years. We kept coming back to it because the industrial logic has always been clear.
Customers have 21 meals a week to figure out. Groceries and restaurant delivery each solve part of that problem. Serving customers well means bringing together the best of both.
As the biggest companies in the world move deeper into this market, retailers and restaurants need the technology and service to compete. They shouldnât have to become technology companies themselves to stand a chance. Bringing Instacart and DoorDash together can give them a stronger partner in that fight.
For shoppers and Dashers, the opportunity is equally straightforward: less time waiting between orders, more time earning.
Iâm incredibly proud of what we built at Instacart and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. Tony is an extraordinary entrepreneur and leader. Iâm excited for Instacart to be part of a founder-led company again, and I canât wait to see what these two teams build together.
