One day before the world sees @AinaInterface a few of us get to try it in SF.
This is the coolest hardware product I've seen this year.
The private unveiling is Nov 4. They gave me a few invites.
Comment if you want one.

NEW: Subvocal built smart glasses that let you talk to your computer without making a sound.
The glasses turn deliberately mouthed words into text, so you can write messages or talk to AI without speaking out loud or touching a keyboard.
-Company says prototypes can exceed No camera needed to read your lips
-Works in noisy places because it doesn’t rely on hearing your voice
-Designed for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Slack, email, and other apps
-Requires only subtle mouth movements
-Doesn’t read thoughts, you have to intentionally form the words
Shipping is expected to begin in Q1 2027.

This seems like a great opportunity

LLMs got APIs years ago…robots never could because every robot is different.
PokeBot just made one. You tell the model what you want in plain English and it runs on supported robots. No task-specific training.
First real attempt I've seen.

Don't trust demos. Try it yourself.
Introducing RoboAPI, powered by Poke-Aurora, our world-action model.
Give compatible robots natural-language instructions through a simple API. No task-specific training.

This is the product launch that I am most excited for in 2026.
The right Human-Computer Interface doesn’t just change computers. It changes what humans can do. And every great shift in computing came from software and hardware built together.
The Mouse and the GUI brought Personal computing.
The Touchscreen, iOS and the App Store put hands like never before.
AI is the most powerful technology we’ve ever built. But for most of us, its has been trapped in software. Imagine what we could do when we pair it with the right hardware interface.
We have spent the last 15 months obsessing over this Interface, built from the ground up, for AI. The fastest way for humans to communicate with computers.
We couldn’t be more excited to show you.
November 5. Everything Changes.

Facepaw built an AI pet door.
It recognizes your pet’s face and automatically unlocks the door for approved animals without requiring a collar tag.
It can block pets carrying prey, work without Wi-Fi, and track when each pet comes and goes.
Pricing starts at $179.

JUST IN: Foundry Robotics raised $100M to build factories where AI robots can switch between assembling drones, satellites, and other hardware.
Instead of building a new production line for every product, Foundry uses robotic cells that learn reusable assembly skills.
-130,000 sq. ft. factory in Emeryville
-Robots learn tasks like fastening, cabling, and precise placement
-The same cells can be adapted to completely different products
-Already shipping to paying customers across defense, energy, telecom, and autonomous vehicles
-Factory is designed to eventually house thousands of robots
-Humans still handle tasks that require extreme precision
Foundry owns and operates the factory, so customers can outsource production without building their own assembly lines. x.com/adarshkulkarni…

JUST IN: Rendezvous Robotics raised $20M to build a spacecraft that can assemble themselves in orbit.
They’re developing modular spacecraft made from independent tiles.
Each tile is designed to:
-Launch separately
-Navigate in orbit
-Connect with other tiles
-Detach when urations
Its first orbital demonstration is planned for 2028.
Seven independent tiles will attempt to assemble into one spacecraft, separate, and reconnect differently.

In 2002, iRobot launched the Roomba for $199. That same year, its PackBot robots first deployed with U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
23 years later, iRobot filed for bankruptcy with about $190M in debt from a 2023 loan.
Its contract manufacturer, Picea, bought that debt, then the whole company. iRobot also owed Picea $161M for making its products, and ~$90M of that was past due.
Hardware founders: every dollar you borrow has a due date. Plan your cash around when it comes due, not around when the next product launches.

The world’s largest automotive LiDAR supplier built a camera designed to help train robots.
Hesai’s Kosmo One combines an 8K imaging system with LiDAR to capture detailed 3D environments.
It can record:
-Object geometry
-Color and texture
-Depth information
-Camera position
The data can then be used to build virtual environments for robot training.
