@JoriEpstein I don’t trust the NFL for a second on player safety. 25% of their players die with CTE and it is probably much higher.

Barclays is cutting 5,000 jobs (5% of its workforce) as it moves towards Artificial Intelligence (AI) for work processes. This is another early warning of the huge job losses that AI will drive across so many industries. Deeply worrying.

I’ll stipulate that Trump is an agent of Putin.
Go down the checklist.
1. Destroyed the Western alliance? Putin wanted that.
2. Threatened a NATO ally over Greenland? Putin wanted that.
3. Pulled out of the intermediate nuclear pact? Putin wanted that.
4. Withdrawing 25-40,000 ope while Russian bellicosity is rising? Putin wanted that.
5. Russian satellites giving coordinates to Iranians killing our soldiers, and his response is “they kill us, we kill them”? What American president says that?
I think he’s been compromised.
The election of Donald Trump may be the greatest foreign policy success in post-Czarist Russian history.

The way this question is framed is enraging.
Tump's corruption is not a matter of opinion. It's a matter of fact.
It's been clearly documented, out in the open, and incredibly flagrant. Vance's categorical handwaving is easily debunked.
CBS carrying water for the regime.

CBS: Have you seen anything inside the White House when it comes to corruption that has made you squeamish?
Vance: You're asking has Donald Trump's decision-making been influenced by his business
CBS: No, I'm asking have you seen anything.
Vance: I've never seen anything like .

“The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous.” — George Orwell, 1984
Defense contractors & their powerful lobby will never be satisfied with simply aiding the U.S. in building a strong military that is prepared for war.
The nature of the industry’s existence is not patriotism, but endless conflict. War is their business model—a perpetual state of war ensures a perpetual demand for their products.
Until we address this issue, we will continue to be subjected to forever wars that only serve the defense contractors—and the warmongering interests wealthy enough to rent the defense contractors.
Stop spilling American blood for profit.

In a republic, the answer is Congress, the courts, and the Constitution.
A system where the answer is "nobody" is called a dictatorship.
That's the world JD Vance is describing.

Public executions increase the murder rate, not lower. It's called the brutalization effect.
Data tracked by early penal reformers showed that states relying on public executions to deter crime had homicide rates that were roughly 40% to 100% higher than neighboring states that through long-term prison sentences.
Rather than acting as a deterrent, historical records suggest public executions often had what criminologists call a brutalization effect.
As early as the 1830s, legislators and researchers like Robert Rantoul Jr. tracked crime data in European countries and early American states. They discovered that periods with unusually high numbers of public executions were frequently followed by a short-term spike in homicides, rather than a decrease. The theory is that highly publicized, state-sanctioned violence devalued human life and desensitized the public to killing.

They’re trying to make an example out of her. The best way to understand Trumpism is by looking at it like the mafia. You speak out, do the right thing, they’re going to do everything they can to make you regret it.
JUST IN: Trump’s DOJ is seeking a federal criminal indictment of former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who testified against Trump during the Jan. 6 investigation, for allegedly lying to Congress, Punchbowl News reports.
DOJ’s Civil Rights Division presented evidence to a day and is expected to present more evidence and witnesses later this month, according to sources familiar with the matter.

David Valadao (R-CA-22) literally says that military aid to Israel helps the US because the money goes to the production and TESTING of American fact that those weapons are used there and tested there, we are able to learn from that."
He goes on to describe it as an "opportunity" to test weapons and learn from it.
We knew AI was steering Israel's genocide in Gaza. It appears it is also steering its political strategy in the US...
