Could you or your company sponsor an x86-64 server and hosting for FFmpeg’s CI?

RISC-V, PowerPC or MIPS systems would also be welcome! We currently test these using QEMU on our Ampere ARM server.

Please get in touch!

FFmpeg retweeted
Linus Torvalds to the anti-AI crowd: stop using compilers if you want to prove they’re REAL programmers. LOL.

“you had better not use an editor to write that commit message either.

The kind of expectations *I* have is that people do their best and I expect people to understand ut that understanding has very little to do with what tools they use.

And quite honestly, in my experience, the people I respect and call intelligent are not the ones that shy away from using new and interesting tools.”
Linus Torvalds says, rules prohibiting AI usage are “UTTERLY STUPID” and “idiotic”.

For the Linux kernel, Torvalds says, “we’re not going to make stupid rules that say ‘you can’t use tools for X’”.
