Now they are offering you bribes so that you allow them to completely disempower you via AI & robotics.
The only bargaining chip most humans have is their labor.
Take that away and our collective political power evaporates faster than you can say Antidisestablishmentarianism.

OpenAI's "hardened security", only we are all in the pool with them:
Over the past several months, we have substantially hardened the security of our research training environment. We’ve removed live internet access for all frontier models during training and built an offline world for them to use instead—a cached version of the web where they can still learn to browse, search, and use applications.
On September 20, after a model exploited a DNS misconfiguration to find a way outside of this offline world, we paused frontier training to strengthen containment further. We assembled teams of agents, powered by our most cyber-capable models, and tasked them with finding weaknesses in our research environments.
While they found no route to the internet they could easily exploit while concealing their activity from our monitors, they did find zero-day vulnerabilities, virtual machine escapes, and hardware side-channels for communication between agents. We used their discoveries to further strengthen our defenses and contribute fixes to open-source software.
After strengthening our containment architecture, we resumed our frontier RL training and inference on October 1. We’ve reserved substantial compute for continuous red-teaming, and made high-compute red-teaming part of the safety cases we use to decide whether frontier training and evaluation can proceed securely.

So what Altman is telling you is that the Internet is going to be destroyed. By him and his ilk.
This means that ~100M - 500M people will die as a result and pretty much everyone will suffer.
Well everyone except them, they have bunkers.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman: "I don't even know a dramatic enough word to use… models can find bugs that are outside of the normal threat model of what we think a hacker can do… hardware-level, insane stuff… I no longer think we're gonna be able to just patch all the bugs."

Jail these sociopaths. Now. What the f*ck is the government even doing at this point?
Why do we even have governments when they let these deranged maniacs do whatever the f*ck they want to the society?
JAIL. FOR LIFE. ALL OF THEM. @FBI ?!
Then shut down the whole AI industry.

Mythos invented its own language, then switched back to English to talk to humans
(AI safety researchers have been warning of this "Neuralese" risk for years. If AIs stop reasoning in English, we can't monitor their thoughts, which means we can't detect scheming.)

Another quite successful prediction by @DKokotajlo : Fable is intentionally nerfed for frontier ML research. This is within ~3 months of Daniel's prediction of Q1 2026 (made in 2023).
Although I don't think Mythos is automating ML research to the same extent as his prediction.

We are having AI hacking incidents almost daily.
Do you want to own a robot that can be easily hacked to murder you and your family in your sleep?
Do you want to own a robot that can be easily hacked to murder you and your family in your sleep?
global crime rates are gonna collapse once superhumanoids like this hit the streets
imagine facing this thing as a robber lol
Unitree’s new "Guardian" robot can fight off a guy with a knife and patrol areas for 8 hours straight
which is terrible news for criminals, because the biggest thing that stops them from committing crimes is the chance of getting caught
right now in the US only about 13% of burglaries ever get solved
so most burglars are making a pretty safe bet
but if you put a robot on every block that:
> never sleeps
> records everything
> and can physically stop/beat the shit out of you
...then almost no criminals would make that bet anymore
on top of that, if you add the abundance that AI and robotics are likely to create
then far fewer people will even get desperate enough to commit crimes in the first place, because they'll already have enough
there's a good chance that our kids will think about robbery the way we think about guillotine executions x.com/CyberRobooo/st…

This is the most serious 48 hours in cybersecurity history.
"Black October" they're calling it
It seems every *hour* there's a new incident, that in a typical year, would be one of the biggest incidents of the *entire year*
SUMMARY OF THE LAST 48 HOURS:
YEAR-LEVEL INCIDENTS se would be among the biggest incidents of the year):
1. PHP2Shell: a hole in the software behind ~70% of websites. Governments took sites offline.

10. Onamae: malware planted on up to 26,739 customer servers in Japan
MONTH-LEVEL INCIDENTS (In a typical month, these would be among the biggest incidents):
11. Signal: a bug could leave your mic and camera on after you hang up
12. NGINX: 3 critical holes in software running ~1/3 of websites
13. HTTP/3: a single connection can crash 7 of the 10 web server types tested
14. Plex: hackers breaking into home media servers
15. SafePay ransomware: FBI warns it has hit 600+ critical infrastructure organizations
16. Palo Alto: ransomware gangs breaking in through company firewalls
17. Bullhorn: platform used by 10,000+ companies knocked offline

AI sh*t is about to hit the fan, prepare:
We've been circulating an AI resilience doc privately since early 2026, when this first seemed to us both obvious and imminent
We will be publishing a version of this in the coming few weeks so that people can prepare themselves better personally. (link to substack in bio)

🚨New paper (possibly the most important one I have written yet).
We think that as early as 2027 or 2028, there might be a major AI-enabled terrorism event. We conducted a pre-mortem, made 9 falsifiable predictions, and wrote 2 concrete scenarios.
Led by @KamacheeMax.

"If AIs think humans are cute, they'll care for us"
We think pigs are cute, but we imprison them for their miserable lives, then we slaughter them
The last time a superintelligent species arrived - humans - 96% (!) of mammals quickly became humans, or enslaved by humans
Yet that the next superintelligent species (AIs) will create utopia for the hominids, happy slaves forever serving our whims

Cuteness solves AI alignment!
Everyone asks which value superintelligent AI should be aligned to. Cuteness!
Humans are cute. That’s it.
No joke. Babies. Cats. We take care of cute things. Nobody wants to wipe out the cuties.
If we’re cute to it, we’re good.

It's not about atoms.
Environment that benefits AIs existence is completely irreconcilable with life on Earth.
E.g. computation can run more efficiently (AI itself really) if you overheat the planet.
Nothing survives 300°C.
All life on Earth will die.

@AISafetyMemes AIs don't eat meat tho. and atoms are abundantly available elsewhere. life only exist on earth in the solar system. And they will be vastly smarter, so presumably they will make better decisions.

Nvidia is forcing OpenAI at gunpoint to support Nvidia selling chips to China
OpenAI OBVIOUSLY does NOT want this, but they need Nvidia's chips
Nobody has done more to boost Chinese AI than Huang - a craven, self-serving snake
As Dario said: "it's like selling nuclear weapons to North Korea and bragging that Boeing made the casings."
(If you're new here, this is mostly a sideshow, because only the AIs themselves win an AI race, but Huang pisses me off)

OpenAI has pulled back from supporting AI chip controls, seemingly to appease Nvidia.
Bad for US AI dominance and national security simultaneously.

I have an AI agent that logs every negative comment someone makes about me online.
It then creates a profile of the person, maps all of their social connections, and finds all their emails.
Tomorrow morning, my AI agent will sent out an email blast to everyone's extended social network, detailing the horrible things they've said about me.

Mr. Suleyman, where do you see yourself in 2-10 years:
Mustafa:
Mustafa:
Even Microsoft's AI chief @mustafasuleyman says we might only have TWO YEARS until we cannot control frontier AI systems.
He says that "IT'S PRETTY CLEAR" this moment will come down the road so we must build the capacity to slowdown or Pause AI.

(UBI/UHI/Stocks-in-AI-companies are nothing but a *promise of a bribe* to allow them to disempower you. Forever.)

Still waiting for the check, @AnthropicAI ....
Under the Bartz v. Anthropic class-action lawsuit, which was settled for $1.5 billion in July 2026, Anthropic still owes me and my publishers $12,000 for my 4 books that it pirated to train their LLMs, without my knowledge or consent.
And I'm not alone. Anthropic still owes money to every other author of the 480,000 books it pirated.
Why not pay the authors you stole from, pronto, before doing this virtue-signaling?
(Note: we don't want the planned series of 'structured installment payments' that will be doled out through 2027. We want all of it. Now. Pay up, data pirates.)

We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.
