the asset class you are looking for is blood. Liz here had it right the first time.
You can’t hold cash because it isn’t backed by gold and gets printed until it’s worthless

and you can’t hold gold because they’re about to figure out alchemy and mine it from asteroids so it’s worthless

and you can’t hold digital cash because the internet is getting hacked so u can’t hold stocks because the ai bubble is about to burst so they’re worthless

and you can’t hold crypto because it’s worthless (and it’s getting hacked by ai and quantum so it’s even more worthless)

and you can’t hold oil because it’s highly flammable and we’re entering ww3 so it’s worthless

and you can’t hold food because it’s perishable so it’s worthless

2% of 70 is one kid then rounding up.

ONE CHILD said that antisemitism was a big problem at their school. Including criticism of Israel in their definition thereof.
Only 5,000 kids were surveyed, only 92 were Jewish, only 70 of 92 responded, and 29 said they had faced antisemitism at school. Only 2% said antisemitism was a big problem at their school and we're reclassifying it as a more serious form of racism based on that? Is this a joke?

Buried on page 30 of 'Sir' David Bellend's report into antisemitism in schools in the UK it explicitly says there hasn't been a rise in antisemitism, only in anti-Israel sentiment. Astonishingly fraudulent crisis/debate, all to shield a genocidal state

when the cybersecurity team finds out there are actual vulnerabilities and they have to do their jobs instead of trying to trick someone into clicking a phishing email

Been teaching for 18 years. I have seen, heard, & heard of, instances of sexism, homophobia, & racism against PoC at work. But I have never seen, heard, or even heard about a single instance of antisemitism. In 18 years. This is now industrial strength gas lighting. Madness.

On the upside: The fact that old bugs are being discovered is a strong indicator for optimism: Old bugs are deep bugs that survived many years of code review. Finding a bunch of old bugs is the clearest indicator that technological progress in bug detecdtion is real.

This guy is very funny because the premise of all his tweets is that Palestinians are provoking settlers by picking their own olives on their own land.
More drama being planned tomorrow by anti-Israel provocateurs in Judea and Samaria. Getting so old and predictable.

This was not about harvesting olives.
It was about harvesting headlines.

Brad Lander’s latest stunt is nothing more than a calculated political provocation.

Lander traveled to a foreign country, deliberately entered a restricted security area, and participated in an unauthorized activity without the required coordination.

What makes this stunt even more outrageous is that his own team contacted Israeli representatives in the United States ahead of his visit and was explicitly informed that proper coordination with the relevant authorities was required.
He chose to ignore those instructions.

At a time of heightened security tensions, Israeli security forces have a responsibility to protect lives, prevent dangerous incidents, and maintain public order.

Had anyone been injured as a result of his reckless political theater, Lander would undoubtedly have been among the first to demand that Israeli authorities intervene and provide protection.

Brad Lander came looking for a confrontation. Now he is pretending to be its victim.

What are the specific ways that Israel is an ally of the United States? I understand that the U.S. is an ally of Israel: we fight many of their wars with them and now even without them, in the case of Iran.

And I understand that Israel provides the U.S. with intelligence, but according to our own intelligence community, that intel is often flawed and is shared to advance Israel's geopolitical interests. It's not them helping us.

Is Israel helping us in Ukraine? Helping us counter China or any of our other goals? In fact, they routinely share sensitive tech with China and Russia despite our pleas not to. Genuine question, how are they an ally?
He says Israel is NOT our ally. NOT our ally. Look, hate Netanyahu all you want, oppose the current Israeli government all you want, but if you don’t believe Israel is our ally, you don’t belong in the U.S. Senate. No Jew in Michigan who supports the state of Israel should vote for him. He just plain hates Israel. Fuck him.

If you worked in tech in the 2000s era, you probably remember a number of engineer stereotypes.

There was "coffee shop guy", who was always at some sort of conference, talked about "growth hacking", and swore that he was most productive while coding from a coffee shop in Lisbon on a tiny laptop screen, wearing headphones blasting music at top volume. These people are still around, only now they do all their code via voice dictation to agents or via the phone browser. They still talk about growth hacking, but sadly no longer have as many conferences to attend

There was "IDE guy", who would spend inordinate amounts of time setting up dev environments: elaborate configurations, tons of plugins, helper programs, macros, special keyboards, fingerless gloves, and ergonomic chairs. Most of the code they produced was actually dotfiles and dev config, but there was always the promise that once they got that environment tweaked jussssssst right, things were gonna fly. These people are still around too, and spend all of their time wiring up agent swarms, loops, custom harnesses, mcp servers, and skills. As before, they swear that once they get this jusssssssst right, things are gonna fly.

There was "spec guy", who spent time creating elaborate class hierarchies and UML diagrams. These people are still around, and are having their moment... finally they can make programs by writing about them abstractly (Who knows, maybe they were right all along)

There was "old grumpy guy", who spent most of his career writing COBOL at a bank, and hated anything invented after the creation of the Internet. Now, these are the people who won't use agents at all, and spend their time reposting articles about agents deleting hard drives.

There was "annoying new guy", who thought that everything invented more than 6months ago was useless. They would generate tons of untestable code in some high level interpreted language without a compiler to harsh their buzz, and never found a framework or dependency they didn't like. These were the "left pad" people., and now they are busy tokenmaxxing.

(I'm sure I'm missing others)

To be honest, there's a certain comfort to the continuity of things.

The black rifle coffee alpha male takes a sip from his thermos and looks out from the bunker to the battlefield, it’s hell out there. “Perfect” He thinks

He adjusts the sights on his custom-built 16-inch 6mm ARC AR-15 with a Proof Research carbon-fiber barrel, JP Enterprises silent captured spring system, and a Geissele Super Dynamic Enhanced two-stage trigger. He picked it because the trigger felt smooth against his $350 carbon fiber combat gloves, and the alloy magazines were 20 grams lighter against his $2200 Kevlar vest.

He mindlessly feels at his tactical pouch, he has a 10 year supply of testosterone cypionate in it, just in case the pharmacies get hit. He smirks, “Daddy needs his combat fuel.” He’s been on TRT for 7 years, his testes have cobwebs on them.

He steps out of the bunker, he’s spent years training for this moment, doing weighted carries, getting “don’t tread on me” tattoos, bow hunting, having a beard.

“It’s fuckin showtime.” He announces.

Just then he feels something lightly tap his leg. He glances down. It’s a 17 dollar drone off temu. It has a decal on it.

“Is that… hentai?”

His legs are blown smooth off.

12 miles away in a disgusting room illuminated only by the degenerate glow of purple LED strip lighting, a 17 year old leans back in his cum stained gamer chair. He’s grown so frail and sickly his friends and family keep mistaking him for Asmongold.

He grabs another 30mg vyvanse and washes it down with a cold chicken nugget.

“GG faggot”

He’s killed 500 men.
