The worst comparison in politics is to compare Tinubu to Jonathan. You’re talking about someone who designed his way to the top and someone who literally got lucky from day one.

Tinubu is the only Nigerian politician to rise to the presidency through his own deliberate efforts.

This is a good analogy

@officialABAT you have your work cut out for you. Whatever fixes you have made to the economy must be positively felt by the people. Only then can it be considered successful
We fixed the engine... but there's no gas in the tank.

That's Nigeria's economy right now. The macro is doing well. The common man cannot consume.

There is something refreshing about hearing former employees speak so fondly of a company they joined at inception.

@GbemiAbudu’s crisp and insightful @Nairametrics piece on @Anap_Jets brings to mind the many @StanbicIBTC alumni who have shared fond reflections on their time there.

There is immense satisfaction in knowing that you have touched lives, mentored young professionals and played a part in shaping their journeys. That, perhaps, is one of the most enduring measures of a company’s impact.
From pioneering fractional ownership in our region to taking delivery of West Africa’s first Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft, discover how the early commercial strategy and intentional company culture helped shape @Anap_Jets and build lasting client trust.

Watching this full interview over the weekend
Great episode with breakdown of F1 economics.

Toto Wolff says Mercedes F1 make $1B a year with a 30% margin: “Other than the Dallas Cowboys, it’s probably the most profitable sports team in the world.”

Mercedes F1 valued at ~$5B (no NFL team under $5B…18 NBA teams over $5B).

Even the Government can't get data from the Government

Looking through @SECNigeria 's Capital Market Master Plan 2.0 & it referenced the IMF for data as basic as Nigeria's GDP

@taiwoyedele you must pursue a policy of your ministry being the single source of truth for our data

Hopefully Wike and Uzodinma neutralize themselves in the 2031 VP fight giving room to folks like Peter Mbah to be the VP candidate

I believe the VP slot for 2031 will be reserved for a sitting or former SS/SE Governor
Me too. I’ve been supporting him since his gubernatorial campaign started in 2022.

He should be the APC VP candidate in 2031 🤲🏾

Prof Adeyeye is talking about "a government" where he was the Senate Chief Whip of

The interviewer saying "hmmm" to him, Pastor Laolu Akande was the spokesman of the Vice President of that same Government
"When i was in the Senate, nobody championed the removal of subsidy better than David Mark. He is now in a party whose candidate is saying, contrary to what was said three years ago. If Atiku and Peter Obi return subsidy, the Dangote Refinery will go bankrupt." — Prof. Olusola Adeyeye

I support Tinubu's successor coming from North Central, Nigeria

And a candidate i have in mind is current NNPC GMD, Bashir Bayo Ojulari of Kwara State
The rumours is that Tinubu plans to give power to Kwara or Kogi Yoruba in 2031.

Who knows may be the plan is Saraki.

But will Tinubu pass 2027 ?

This article reminded me to look at Canadian sulphur exports. The commodity is Canada's biggest winner from the Hormuz conflict, with export revenues more than tripling in the first six months of the year, rising 213 per cent to $2 billion (and 2025 was already a great year).
s are now worth nearly five times its diamond exports and are nearly *at parity* with its uranium exports.
Sulphur exports were worth only $415m for all of 2024.
Sulphur, a vital input for mining, farming and chipmaking, is in short supply. The damage around the world is only beginning to show economist.com/finance-and-ec…

Canada’s next major economic boom could be built right here in Alberta’s oilsands.
A new RBC report estimates that proposed pipelines, LNG facilities, oilsands expansions and carbon capture projects could generate more than $200 billion in construction through 2040.

The numbers show just how significant this opportunity could be:

• Canadian oil production could grow by nearly 2 million barrels per day by 2040.
• Natural gas production could nearly double.
• Canada’s oil and gas GDP could increase by approximately $44 billion annually.
• Alberta alone could account for $29 billion of that growth.
• Alberta could gain approximately 52,100 permanent oil and gas production jobs.

For Fort McMurray-Lac la Biche, this represents enormous potential for skilled trades, local businesses, Indigenous partners and the thousands of families whose livelihoods are connected to our energy industry.

Should Labour leaders be promoting the talking points of the sitting Govt especially one that has championed policies that have seriously impacted workers ?
If you decide to give our left over of about 700,000 barrels crude to refineries at cost of production in the name of subsidy, the question is; how are you going to fund workers salaries, fund the military and police, build roads, build hospitals and manage health crisis? sident challenges opposition candidates
