Give yourself five minutes to read this today, & understand what is being attempted against Ukraine & her population, after years of continuing loss, suffering & destruction 🙏
I tried to let it go, but I couldn't🙃

Every time I see another dude in a suit casually pitch that Ukraine has to compromise, my blood runs cold.

I had to get this out of my system.
Give my rant a read if you have the time👇

NATO was founded to counter russian (then Soviet) expansionism. It has failed its purpose if it chooses to allow russia to keep any of its stolen land in Ukraine. We really need leadership fit for current needs.
NATO's Rutte on Ukraine:

It does not seem very likely that anyone will win this war outright.

We have to hope that this war is brought to an end, although it is unlikely that Ukraine will regain all its territory.

What Ukraine is prepared to accept in a deal is entirely up to and his government can decide that on behalf of the Ukrainian people.

But these kinds of wars always end in a peace agreement, and that often involves compromise.

It's an absolute shame what the NATO secretary Rutte is saying. And annexion of territory by russia is not accectable.
It is instead crucial to strike back against russia, to defeat russia and to liberate all occupied territory including crimea.
Ukraine's fight is our fight.
russia was never held accountable for Transnistria, Georgia or Ukraine. Each time, the world chose temporary "compromise" over international law.

By rewarding a genocidal invasion with territory, we aren't bringing peace. We’re just financing the countdown to russia's next war.

russia is attacking Kyiv again.

And I really struggle to understand how people can choose to advocate for russians to be allowed back on international stages when this is what their country is doing.

A sane person would advocate for them to stop their war.
Kyiv. More powerful explosions. A second wave of russian ballistic missiles is hitting the capital.

russia is a fucking terrorist.

A few days ago, Russia killed 53 people by dropping glide bombs on an underground shelter in Komyshuvakha, Ukraine, where civilians were hiding.

Dozens are still missing.

And somehow, people are outraged that russian hockey players are banned from competing in Canada.

Thank you, Canada!

Sitting here and crying from rage at this story. No punishment on this earth could ever be enough to give russian soldiers what they really deserve
One of the most horrific cases that i’ll never forget was back in 2024. Russian soldiers who were keeping hold of a girl in her late teens in Zaporizhzhia, had raped and got her pregnant.

Sometime in December, Russian forces dragged her out of her apartment and thought it would be “fun” to strip her of all clothing in sub zero temperatures (with blankets of snow around, too).

They broke into her place (they’d been harassing her for months already) & locked her out into the cold. Hours had passed, but only after 11 hours did they bother to check up on her. By that point she had already died of hypothermia, at 5-6 months pregnant.

Winter is going to be so rough for Ukraine. My biggest concerns, though, are with the Ukrainians in occupied territories. It goes beyond infrastructure & electricity concerns, too.

Every winter, we see deaths of Ukrainians who’ve been chucked out of or locked out of their homes &/or made to do things that Russian forces know fully well, will inflict hypothermia & potentially (and often does) lead to death.

Whether it be forcing them to strip down to bare skin, get into or submerge themselves in lakes, rivers, etc. All as a form of ‘punishment’. It’s just so sick.

In Kyiv, a 73yo woman suffered cardiac arrest on the 15th floor of an apartment building. The elevator wasn't working bc of a power outage.

Paramedics climbed 15 floors on foot, carrying heavy resuscitation equipment. They fought to save her life for 20min. Her heart started orkers then helped carry her downstairs.

Ordinary people doing miracles.

Kyiv is under ballistic missile strikes. Meanwhile, tomorrow’s blackout schedule shows just 2.5 hours of electricity during the day. Hopefully, we’ll have at least that much once the attack is over.
