Eastern European countries wouldn't have needed to join NATO if russia were capable of peaceful coexistence.

Repeatedly invading, occupying, attacking & oppressing others would tend to make them seek protection.

Not that hard to understand.

An important humanitarian mission has begun in Oleshky.
A bilateral ceasefire has been declared in the area where the mission is taking place.
Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets has headed to the site and will be responsible for coordinating the process. We are in constant contact with him.
It is critically important that this mission to rescue our people be carried out successfully and safely.
I am sincerely grateful to everyone involved in carrying out and supporting this operation.

Every Ukrainian life is priceless.
We continue our work.
Glory to Ukraine!

Replying to @ManiamAkash
The USSR took over many lands (& people) the russian empire also stole, conquered, colonised, looted & culturally destroyed, before proceeding to do exactly the same to more lands & people.

The USSR was another incarnation of a russian empire. Same playbook, different tsars.

Love that Ukraine continues to rinse Orban even after he got kicked out of office
I am certain that Viktor Orbán, as UN Secretary-General, would put to good use the masterful veto and blackmail skills he has developed over years of derailing major EU decisions. We can share with the rest of the world our great experience of taking him out for coffee at the right moment.

"We have been waiting for nearly a month for Mr. Hegseth to sign off on missiles for Patriots and NASAMS"

Congress? Senate? Anybody gonna do something about this?
I held a coordination call on the situation with weapons supplies from our partners and efforts to restore energy infrastructure following Russian strikes. Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi reported on the work underway in the regions. I thank every repair crew and all energy y carrying out their assigned tasks. The work is continuing virtually nonstop, and we are using the equipment reserves we have built up. I expect the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy, and other agencies involved to communicate in a timely and sufficient manner the need to replenish these reserves.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on the supply of air defense interceptors to Ukraine, first and foremost Patriot missiles. We are working on several tracks – with the United States, Europe, and other partners that have stocks of PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles. In particular, we have been waiting for nearly a month for Mr. Hegseth to sign off on missiles for Patriots and NASAMS. I instructed our team to raise this with the American side once again. Conversations with other countries are also ongoing.

We also discussed preparations for the November Ramstein meeting. It is important to speed up the implementation of decisions that have been on the table for some time. Every support package is an opportunity to protect people's lives. Thank you to everyone who is providing real support and, in particular, helping speed up these critically important deliveries.

Our conversation with the American side in Oslo was accompanied by three challenges. These were the shortage of air defense, restrictions on Starlink/Starshield, and restrictions on intelligence sharing from the United States of America. I am grateful to the Americans and our issues – intelligence and Starlink/Starshield – have been resolved as of today.

The issue of air defense remains. There is progress on missiles for Patriot systems, but things are moving very slowly. More slowly than Russian missiles fly. You cannot say, “Yes, we will give the missiles to you,” and then not deliver them for a month or two. It simply does not work that way.

It was a superb interview. Let's get way more than 6 million to watch it
Almost 6 million people have watched the interview with @ZelenskyyUa in just 3 days!

A conversation I will never forget.

He spoke in Ukrainian, we both had ear pieces in with human translators in a room next door, and we translated what he said into English afterwards.

🔴 A ceasefire in Russian-occupied Oleshky opens the way for a Kremlin-controlled press tour and gaslighting operation designed to shift blame for the humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine.

Here is how it is done:

Many such cases. Far, far too many.

The most important thing today is that Starlink and Starshield operations have been restored to the speeds we had before the restrictions. The speeds are now where they need to be. The restoration began overnight, and by this morning, speeds were already sufficient. This matters: tics, for defending Ukraine against jet-powered “shaheds.”

I thank all Americans and all our partners who took this seriously and truly helped – members of Congress, senators, all the media, the State Department, and the President. Protecting lives matters.

Countries may change, generations may pass. The stories of russian occupation don't.

This is who russia has always been. The least we could do is finally stop them and hold them accountable.
