@moneycontrolcom It’s so sad to people investing crores of their wealth using unproven apps/platforms, rather than using SEBI, GoI approved investment platforms like ICICI Direct, just save few thousand ₹ as annual fee!

People are getting dismayed that India did not participate in AI.
But AI is not like railroads… no railroad company made money but railroads themselves added to the productivity and GdP for decades.
Chips on the other hand are highly depreciating assets and don’t have a long you like it or not but most models are commoditized and honestly don’t have any real moat.
Many smart analysts have started talking about the second order impact and start looking at the companies which can use AI to increase productivity.
If you are a small business then I am pretty sure that your productivity has gone up.

⚠️ People ask me what the greatest post-fight speech in UFC history is. I'm showing them this one
> Destroys BSD in front of his home crowd.
> Praises Paris, then ROASTS Macron.
> Defends Jesus Christ and attacks the French Revolution.
> Calls democracy a mistake and recommends a book.
> Calls Paddy and Dan Hooker EASY MONEY.

Diversified asset classes in the most valuable real estate today, that is orbit, are important. It's not wise, and nobody wants to try to create a world where it's just cheaper for anybody else to buy a service and resell it because 1 operator holds the major chunk of the destination and access to it; or do we?
Once India’s consumption of a Starlink equivalent or Starlink per se begins, you know the numbers will be higher than anywhere in the world. Principally because, with no such sovereign/indigenous equivalent existing to begin with, the cons/strategic disadvantages in a volatile geopolitical world today far outweigh the pros.
From a government’s perspective, it is a looming/apparent threat for any country to have a dependency that big without any counterpart that is indigenous given the use cases are wide and the tap can be shut off at any moment. We’d like to see India and the world have more choices in orbit.
India is building and will have its own equivalent. Period. Maybe then the competition begins, when the birds get to orbit. Perhaps then, is the time to allow competition.
Everyone loves an underdog; until it aims to compete. That's been the story with India for the most part. So the mass sentiment is valid. If that makes a few people uncomfortable, god bless.

The ridiculous arguments by Ambani’s army of Internet shills make no sense
On the one hand, they say Starlink couldn’t possibly compete with the amazing low prices offered by Ambani’s de facto monopoly in India and then, in the same breath, they essentially claim that Starlink would be too strong of a competitor! This is absurd hypocrisy and hyperbole.
The reality is that competition would greatly benefit the average citizen in India by giving them more choices, as it always does. Ambani’s profits will be lower, but he is not going out of business. And, obviously, if Starlink is too expensive in India, no one will buy it, so SpaceX will need to make pricing affordable.

Highly doubt the market is factoring in the consumption boost from the minimum wage hikes between 6% and 60% varying across states over the first half of the year. That, plus the festive season approaching.

They were successful last time because the issue they raised, the paper leak, was genuine, non-political, deeply concerning to students and parents, and heavily covered by the media.
They had a clean, credible face leading the charge: Sonam Wangchuk, a scientist, engineer, and innovator, kind of figure that resonates with STEM Gen Z, a group that normally doesn't protest but holds heavy influence over pop culture.
To top it off, right when Wangchuk's health was deteriorating, the organizers behind the scenes brought in influencers and celebrities to turn the movement into a pop-culture phenomenon. This caught the govt off-guard, especially with top police leadership making blunders in anticipating events, as evidenced by the sudden last-minute replacement of the police commissioner. Caught unprepared, the govt mismanaged the situation and inadvertently granted immense legitimacy to the CJP leadership.
But that success went straight to CJP's head. They fell into the trap of believing they were undisputed "youth icons" who could call a march on Parliament and bring down a government at will. They forgot one critical detail: the cause matters.
This time, they raised a purely political issue that does not concern the masses, as people recognize the supposed "threat to democracy" as a manufactured narrative. Consequently, it found zero resonance with actual students or the general public. It was a purely political ploy, and paired with a govt that was far better prepared and more tactical, the entire effort collapsed.
Hopefully, this brings CJP back down to reality. I hope the govt gets to the bottom of this conspiracy, and that everyone who organized and promoted unlawful activities, if any, under the guise of activism is held accountable.

2) the best earnings growth rate & highest ROE improvement will be in industries where there is significant consolidation (telecom, airlines, retailing)
Industries which are fragmenting will have challenges either on growth or margins (paints, D2C brands, wires and cable)

Bandhan Bank made a commission of ₹406.12 crores from selling life insurance products in FY26.
By selling policies worth ₹987.71 crores.
That's an average commission of 41.12%.
Renewal commissions (2nd yr & onwards) are low (2%-10%) on traditional products.
This blended ratehis!
People don't believe when I tell them that banks make upto 65-70% commissions from the 1st-year premiums you pay.
That's how bad the system is.

“I always tell the teams: compress the timeline. Take a 10 year plan and try to do it in 6 months. You’ll probably fail, but you’ll be so far ahead of everyone else that it doesn’t matter. Most companies move at a glacial pace. We try to move at the speed of light.”

“I never take never even crosses my mind that something's not going to work. I just keep going until it does work.”

People who drank more coffee had less body fat, less visceral fat, and more lean mass than less-frequent or non-drinkers.
The biggest benefit was seen at 5 or more cups per day.
And for men, every extra cup per day was associated with a ~10 ng/dL higher total testosterone. s also associated with better glucose and insulin regulation in men.
This was an observational study, but mechanistic and experimental evidence actually supports coffee's benefits on metabolic and hormonal health. I'm willing to believe there's a real link here rather than draw a conclusion such as "coffee drinkers live healthier lives in general."
