AI agents can't fill in signup forms. They can pay a Lightning invoice.

I just launched Sats for Bots ⚡🤖: a directory + weekly newsletter of tools that let agents pay and get paid in Bitcoin.

L402, NWC, MCP servers, paid APIs.

L402 Tool 11/24: Strike API by @Strike

An API for sending and receiving Bitcoin and Lightning payments. Note it's a custodial account, but it's an easy way to move sats without running infrastructure.

I've now listed 29 Lightning tools for AI agents on satsforbots.

The biggest lesson: "give your agent a wallet" means 4 very different things. 🧵

Then test with real sats.

A tiny, capped mainnet budget finds the broken edge cases in an afternoon, ones testnet never shows you.

I run a handful of AI agents. The best rule I've found is boring: one job per bot.

The bot that reads the internet never writes. The bot that writes never goes looking.

Fewer surprises, easier to debug, and when one breaks I know exactly where.

How do you split work between your agents?

L402 Tool 10/24: Aperture by @lightning

An L402 reverse proxy that puts any API behind Lightning payments. If you want agents to pay for your endpoint per call, this is the drop-in way to do it.

New on satsforbots: bark-mcp by @secondhq 🆕

An MCP server that gives your agent a Bark wallet to pay Lightning invoices and L402 APIs, with spend caps and confirmation guardrails.

Note: it runs on Ark, not a Lightning node.

L402 Tool 9/24: PPQ.ai by @PPQdotAI

PayPerQ gives pay-per-prompt access to hundreds of AI models, with no subscription or signup. Lightning is one of the ways to pay.

That’s what I do too. Just have @bot buy it somewhere else at a lower price.
Amazon locked out my Grok Bot. So it just bought the same thing from a different site (at a lower price).

Takes all the pain out of accepting Lightning on your BTCPay store.
Accept Lightning on @BtcpayServer without a Lightning node, channels or inbound liquidity to manage.

My favorite BTCPay plugin. I might be biased 😁

OFFICIAL PAPER: WHY HYDROGRAPH GRAPHENE IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER

Here is the official scientific paper on HydroGraph’s graphene and why it is fundamentally different from every commercial graphene that came before. Two decades of competing methods still struggle with impurities, high tent quality. This chamber explosion process changes the entire picture with purity, structure and energy numbers no other route can match.

THE SYNTHESIS DIFFERENCE
➡️ Fuel-rich acetylene and oxygen are ignited inside a sealed constant-volume chamber.
➡️ The reaction reaches roughly 2550 K in about 10 milliseconds and crystallizes amorphous soot into multilayer turbostratic graphene.
➡️ Particles then form fractal aggregates by diffusion-limited cluster-cluster aggregation with dimension near 1.8.
➡️ The aerosol is vented in roughly one second so the powder remains free-flowing and ready for use.

THE PURITY DIFFERENCE
➡️ FGA-1 is 99.8 percent carbon and only 0.2 percent oxygen with zero polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
➡️ Every carbon atom is sp². There are no volatiles up to 700 °C.
➡️ Liquid-phase exfoliation leaves surfactants and edge oxidation. Reduced graphene oxide retains 5–15 percent oxygen and irreparable defects. Ball milling adds metal contamination. Electrochemical routes leave intercalated ions.
➡️ HydroGraph starts from pure gases and ends with essentially pure carbon.

THE STRUCTURE DIFFERENCE
➡️ Monomers are only 20–50 nm with an average of 6.6 layers and 150 m²/g geometric surface area.
➡️ The fractal, open network extends through a matrix at mass fractions far below non-fractal platelets.
➡️ Surface area comes from the real geometric surface, not pores. That maximizes contact and performance.

THE ENERGY DIFFERENCE
➡️ Life-cycle energy demand is 2.7 MJ per kilogram.
➡️ That is lower than carbon-black flash joule heating (7.2), chemical exfoliation (13), microwave plasma (180), flash joule heating (253) and sonication (939).
➡️ The process is exothermic. Future plants can capture the syngas byproduct and reuse the heat.

THE PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE
➡️ 0.05 weight percent FGA-1 in generic epoxy raises stiffness 23 percent, strength at break 32 percent and elongation 51 percent.
➡️ 0.0015 weight percent in PET bottles lifts compression strength 23 percent and cuts water-vapor transmission 83 percent.
➡️ Tiny doses also improve lubricants, coatings, concrete, energy storage and biosensors. Ultra-low loadings work because the material is clean, small and fractal.

THE BOTTOM LINE
The official paper shows HydroGraph’s chamber explosion graphene is different in chemistry, purity, structure and energy from every previous commercial route. That difference is why it delivers large property gains at doses other graphenes cannot touch. This is the graphene that finally matches industrial needs.
We’ll soon be seeing the first contracts published – be prepared for this stock. $HGRAF

The internet is going to need a native currency to rate limit all of the agentic traffic hitting APIs.

barkd and bark-mcp carry the torch of the original mission for hashcash, providing a way for agents and APIs to do seamless payments using bitcoin.

New on satsforbots: Bark by @secondhq 🆕

A self-custodial Ark wallet your agents can drive over a local REST API, paying and receiving over Lightning (BOLT11, BOLT12, Lightning addresses).

Note: it runs on Ark, not a Lightning node.
