we did it. @lisbonai_ 2026 is over. Too many thoughts, so I will say this: a part of me is as tired as I can be, but a larger part of me is as energized as possible.

I am heading home with my heart filled by people and my mind filled with ideas.

thank you. Build.

you know it is a good tech conference when you compare @obsdmd graphs with the speakers. Here's mine, if you are curious.

it is time. We're opening the waitlist for @lisbonai_ 2026 tickets. September 23 and 24, at the Center for the Unknown at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon.

skipping may be sub-optimal. Last year we sold out fast, so act accordingly.

finally watched this interview. It is nothing short of heroic. No wonder people at Anthropic feel proud of what leadership is doing.

@alvaromsamagaio @kepano At a very high level:

- atoms are for 1 idea 1 note
- clippings come from @kepano's web clipper
- daily, ideas, inbox, reference, topics are obvious
- meta is for templates, bases, etc

I can walk you through my setup one of these days, of course.

@bcherny quick bit of feedback on the feedback mechanism (ha) for CC: consider reversing these options

"1" is typically "Yes" when presented with choices in code workflows, so the fact that 1 means "Bad" here has caused me to hit it at least twice (almost a 3rd time just now)

been telling people about using Claude Code with their @obsdmd vaults, but after taking Cowork through a couple of workflows, it is a great tool for folks who may prefer a GUI

In the screenshot I ask it to emerge main themes from the past couple of years of my notes. cc @kepano

@init_malachi @kepano I haven't done this in a while, but doesn't something like this Drafts action get it done? May have to customize the params on the right (vault name, etc). I'd append to today's daily note, which would be something like:

obsidian://daily?vault=<vault>&append&content=[[draft]]

very thoughtful of @bshlgrs and @ryangreenblatt to publish a 4 hour long podcast only after the time-horizon for engineering tasks is *over* 4 hours. This way we can watch and not FOMO ourselves into checking the agent output all the time.

@ruimsm__ @floatingpoints @bcherny @obsdmd @kepano probably TMI, but as part of building this I created a JSON Canvas schema that validates the canvas that this produces (and I guess any other compatible tool), so that I can always make sure it renders nicely both here *and* @obsdmd 👇
