As Home Minister, I have no hesitation in acknowledging a lapse when the police get something wrong.
In the Cheranalloor case, the initial police response was inadequate. Action will be taken against the officers responsible, and the investigation is now being handled by the Whether the accused is a judge’s son or anyone else, the law must apply equally.
We will also do everything possible to support the family of Jayabalakrishnan, who lost his life.
Justice cannot depend on status, wealth or influence.
