This whole debate reminded me of what @SethDillon said a while ago on The @JeremyDBoreing Show. He laid out perfectly what I think should be at the center of this:
1. Everyone has the right to speak out about what they think, regardless of whether it's about someone on the Left ing your mind and being critical of something does not make you a bully or a thug.
3. When statements are made publicly, they invite a public response. (There is a weird dynamic going on within media and politics on the Right where you're not allowed to publicly address something problematic someone has said publically because doing so is considered disloyal.)
4. It's not about making enemies but about saying what you believe and why you believe it, as a matter of principle.
5. When bad ideas are spreading and rotting the minds of people, especially young people, we have a moral duty to speak out against them.
Truth and principle must come before personal loyalty, private relationships, career advancement, or political alliances. This is what I believe.

Invoking God or quoting Scripture means little if our fruit doesn’t match. But how do we discern what is truly of God, and what is simply dressed up to look holy?
That question was at the heart of my message today pecial to both Charlie and me.
Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruits.” Are we growing closer to Christ, becoming more truthful, humble, loving, and forgiving, or are we letting anger and noise pull us away from Him?
Charlie understood the importance of living his faith through his actions. He challenged people, listened to those who disagreed with him, and devoted his life to building something bigger than himself. That is the kind of fruit I hope my children see in me, and that others, whether they agree with me or not, might see as well.

Taking 4 years to go to trial in a murder case is an obscenity that should appall all Americans. But the fact that even the prosecutors are hoping for a 2028 trial at the soonest for Tyler Robinson has been very bothersome to me as well.
I think it’s very clear that the glacially slow judicial process for Tyler Robinson has helped fuel all the conspiracies about Charlie’s death, which have flooded in to fill the void created by months on end where nothing happens in the case. This slow speed is not promoting justice, but is actually reducing public trust in the system.
It should be a firm goal in American criminal justice for a case to go from arrest to a jury verdict in less than a year. If we need to invest in more courts, judges, and public defenders to make that happen, it is a worthy expense.

🗞️🚨🗞️JUST IN: Attorneys for Erika Kirk are asking the judge overseeing Tyler Robinson’s murder case to reject a defense request to put off the trial until late 2029.
In Utah, victims have a right to a speedy resolution.
Robinson was arrested last year after turning himself the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He finally entered a plea of not guilty last month.
Both sides expect the actual trial to take months. Prosecutors have said they’d be ready in fall of next year, but they also suggested waiting until after the holidays to get started, proposing January 2028.
I’ll be in Provo tomorrow for the next hearing. There will be no video, audio or livestream.
