@SahilBloom There’s no feeling quite as good as the moment right after you finish keeping a promise you made to yourself.

@SahilBloom My son has been terrified of crashing waves since he was a baby.

I finally got him over the fear by having him scream at the top of his lungs and jump on a boogie board.

The anxiety is now gone: action filled the gap. There’s a lesson for us adults here too

@SahilBloom each time you avoid "doing" or escape, you teach your brain that avoidance was the solution.

and so the fear returns.

But if you commit and act (just long enough) you show your brain:

"this isn’t lethal"

that's called habituation.

@SahilBloom spent 2 years saying I wanted to scale my business while still doing everything myself

the stress was killing me until I finally hired my first VA for $6/hour

@SahilBloom Write down the next step on paper before bed. When you wake up, do that first. Repeat until the gap closes.

@SahilBloom The simplicity of this is its brilliance.

It's so spot on. The gap creates cognitive dissonance that screams incessantly at us.

@SahilBloom You might dream big or talk about change but if your actions don’t support those words, it creates internal tension. And the solution isn’t just thinking harder, it’s doing better. Real peace comes when your steps align with your purpose.

@SahilBloom Stress lives in the space between desire and discipline.
Close the gap, not by lowering your dreams,
but by raising your actions.
What you do daily must echo what you claim to want.

@SahilBloom Procrastination.

The gap between what you say you want to do and what you do is the biggest reason for chronic stress.

You can always change something. You almost always know what and how. But you simply don't.

@SahilBloombels when your habits don’t honor your goals.

That inner tension, the anxiety, the restlessness, it’s not always a sign to slow down. Sometimes it’s your system telling you: get aligned.

Close the gap. Do the work your ambition demands.
Peace lives in integrity between your words and your actions.

@SahilBloom Playing it safe:

•Pick the job with the 401k
•Wait for permission
•Optimize for comfort

Betting on yourself:

•Choose autonomy over security
•Build something that might not work
•Lean into the unknown

Only one of those paths leads to compounding upside.
