Falling back doesn’t mean falling asleep at the wheel! ⏰

Keep an eye out for walkers, bikers & wildlife as daylight gets shorter.

“Buckle up, phone down…” 🎶

Yep, we know it’s probably stuck in your head now.

But if our jingle is going to stick with you, we might as well make sure the message does as well:

Buckle up, put the phone down, and keep your eyes on the road.

Work zone safety starts with you, and here's what we are doing to help. 👇

We have 120 automated flagger assistance devices (AFADs) across all 12 districts, with more speed enforcement cameras as well, to help protect drivers and our crews in work zones.

While deaths and serious injuries are down, collisions are still on the rise. So far in 2026, Kentucky highway work zones have seen:

⚠️ 932 collisions
⚠️ 5 fatalities
⚠️ 13 serious injuries

Slow down, obey posted speed limits, and obey flaggers/AFADs.

Welcome to another Friday Flashback, where we check out oiled roads! 🛢️

Back in the days of dirt roads, crews sprayed oil to act as a binder and help control dust and bind loose particles together, creating a more stable, less dusty road.
