He “understands” his colleague trying to make sure his own party doesn’t win Congress. Truly amazing how literally everyone is telling on themselves.
NYT: Jim Clyburn says he is disappointed but "understands" why Haley Stevens endorsed Mike Rogers
"I’m disappointed, but I understand... I don’t consider it a wise thing to do, but whatever her reasons are her reasons."

.@the_andrey_x and I were charged with assault, along with five other offenses. After being kept up all night and interrogated for seven hours, we finally saw a judge. He watched the footage and concluded it was clearly a one-sided attack and that we were the victims. His response was to ban us from the West Bank for two months, let the police keep my phone, and bring no charges against the settlers he had just watched attack us.
Hi, I'm free.
Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over.
Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc.
It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault.
The gate is still locked.

Flávio Bolsonaro declared himself the country's “true president-elect,” alleging widespread electoral fraud and accusing Lula and the Supreme Court of "stealing" the election.
In a statement issued from the U.S., Bolsonaro said he had left Brazil with his family over fears of nd vowed to lead the opposition from abroad.
He thanked Trump for providing refuge and called on the international community not to "normalize" what he described as an "authoritarian regime" in Brazil.

Trump has systematically demolished every pillar of his support. In 2024 he created what could’ve been an enduring coalition by:
Winning over Hispanic voters
Winning a portion of Black voters
Huge margins with men, largely around prices and the promise not to start new wars and put America first.
He immediately:
Tried to gut the Voting Rights Act and boot Black Caucus members from Congress.
Terrorized Latino communities who wrongly thought he’d focus on deporting criminals and securing the border.
Waged a war on Iran at the behest of Israel and drove up the price of everything.
Systematically attacked every pillar of his support.

Could someone remind me which state the Callais case came from?
(yes, Black turnout in LA is massive, with SC just behind)

The "five Israelis" were on-duty IDF soldiers, by the way. Seems like an important detail to include.

Amazing what Israelis get away with. Their soldiers post videos of themselves laughing while rigging up people’s houses to be blown up, not a military target in sight, and you’ll get thousands of people defending this or saying its actually self defense.
Israeli soldiers in Southern Lebanon are seen ‘jokingly’ giving a tour of a displaced family’s home while rigging it with explosives.
More than 1.2 million people have been forcibly displaced as a result of Israel’s attacks and reinvasion of Southern Lebanon.

Yeah it was never about just Netanyahu the left has been saying this. It’s a genocidal apartheid state. Not a singular mad man gone rogue. Our criticism is a principled systemic one.
Reminder that it was never really about Netanyahu—the anti-Israel push won’t end even if he’s voted out.
