Not the first time Michael Che has done this.
I know this Michael Che joke has been talked about nonstop for a few days. As someone who usually defends humor and really has no problem making jokes at Israel’s expense, the joke wasn’t funny. Not even cuz it was offensive, it just wasn’t funny. We’re gonna dissect the frog. 1/

I dunno about you, but the guy who justified an attack on a Michigan Jewish synagogue and is friends with the guy who said America deserved 9/11 might make a great member of US government.

Revisionist history at its finest. Good luck to the future.
How Wikipedia Rewrote Zionism
Since October 2023, four-fifths of the encyclopedia’s article on Zionism has been replaced. And work of editors who have been banned from the page remains.

What does El-Sayed’s excuse for terrorism and justification tell you about what a possible Senator feels are his core values?
A hell of a lot.
A hell of a lot.
AES is going to be a US Senator. He's going to vote on public policy and judges, and sit at committee hearings.
What does "if you parse his statement after a terror attack, it many have not been sufficiently condemnatory" have to do with ANY of that?

Oh look a “joke” about Israel that is not just a bad joke because it’s a terrible pun, but just the laziest attempt at virtue signaling ever.
Classic Michael Che on Weekend Update regarding Israel
Classic Michael Che on Weekend Update regarding Israel
Michael Che on SNL Weekend Update just said Israel’s record voter turnout is great “regardless of if you’re on the right side, or the left side, or the genocide.”
That’s not a joke. That’s a blood libel dressed up as comedy, broadcast to millions while Israelis just voted in ears of war and terror.
This election shows a free, functioning democracy one in which had the highest Arab Muslim Israeli turnouts as well.
Calling the war in Gaza “the genocide” is the same ancient libels recycled for the camera.
Comedy stops being comedy when it launders the same false claim used to justify attacks on Jews.

You know what I think Judaism is about?
Posting about how I’m pretty opposed to Jews celebrating Halloween but rushing over to my kid’s daycare to bring her a costume for my 2-year-old’s “storybook dress-up” so she doesn’t feel bad not having a costume.
Now I’m gonna rewatch @AlexEdelman’s story about how his family celebrated Christmas as a chesed to a friend.

“See, even your fellow Jews don’t agree with you about Israel. Clearly that’s proof it’s evil.”
Boy, do I have something to teach you about Jews.

This video is going around and to say you hate a group of people without embarrassment is nuts but the comedian’s almost implication of “well, Israel obviously is wrong and I can understand why you hate THOSE Jews” is kind of more upsetting to me.
It truly reeks of “yeah, but what about the good Jews who have the ‘right’ politics. You shouldn’t hate them.”
A lot of people hate Jews. Your knee-jerk reaction to have to condemn Israel won’t make it stop. I promise you.

One of the most insane videos I've seen.
American-Jewish comedian who describes himself as pro-Palestine is attacked at his show by a woman who believes all Jews are evil.
This antisemitic garbage has become totally normalised. Social media brain rot!

The guy who kept Shaq and Charles Barkley in line on TV for 37 years used to spend his mornings shaving and dressing his son, who could barely move and breathed through a ventilator. Then he'd go to work and laugh with those guys all night like nothing was going on.
Tonight Ernie Johnson said this season will be his last, and Barkley tried to thank him on air and couldn't get the words out.
I don't think most people watching that clip know what Ernie was carrying all those years.
He and his wife Cheryl adopted Michael from an orphanage outside Bucharest in 1991, when he was 3. He had Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and doctors didn't think he'd make it to his 20s. He lived to 33. When Ernie was home, getting Michael ready in the morning could take an hour and a half, and Ernie did the showering and shaving and dressing himself.
In 2006 he told viewers he had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and by the end of October he was back at the desk while he was still going through chemo.
When Michael died in 2021, Ernie wasn't on the show that week, and Shaq, Kenny and Chuck spent about six minutes trying to hold it together while they talked about a kid most of America never met.
Then last year he had heart bypass surgery, and this summer he turned 70.
Ernie's dad pitched in the big leagues and then called Braves games for decades, and he gave his son a rule Ernie's talked about forever: if somebody spikes you at second base, never rub.
If you've ever wondered why nobody's been able to copy Inside, that rule is a big part of it. Barkley could say the dumbest thing imaginable, Shaq could fall out of his chair, Kenny could go running to the big board, and Ernie would just pick it up and bring it back to basketball with that yellow legal pad. Those three got to be chaos because the guy in the middle never made his own stuff the show.
He still calls hosting a "get-to job," and he was calling it that the same year he buried his son.
So when Charles Barkley, who's roasted pretty much everybody alive on live TV, can't finish a sentence to the man, that's why.
