@DuckDuckGo "It’s not a “fork” of any other browser code[...]"
Woah! my first assumption with "new" browsers is that it's just gonna be more chromium junk - this is really cool!
Are you going to have your own extensions store then?

Definitely gonna give using this a try!

@SmoothSubscribe Thanks! 🦆 We're working toward extension support that meets our high privacy standards. In the meantime, we built in features for ad blocking and password management.

@DuckDuckGo Great to hear it was built from scratch and is not just a fork. Looking forward to try it out, features sound great.

Are you planning on going open source after full release?

@DuckDuckGo +1 for adding pinned tabs feature. And please let me be able to right click and close a pinned tab. (Vivaldi has this off by default)

@DuckDuckGo Perhaps you need to include in your installer a check for other DDG stuff installed anywhere on the system, clean it all out, and THEN install something new.

I have DDG browser extension, just got an "New App for Windows" prompt and a failed install that only opens and freezes.

@lefunny87104 We're independent and always have been. We've put a lot of work into mitigating any privacy issues with WebView2.  For example, we updated our version to ensure WebView2 crash reports are not sent to Microsoft.

@DuckDuckGo Congrats on the launch! Any possibility to add it to the Microsoft App Store? It would facilitate the install and update on my work machine.
