@missannabellef and I had a great time volunteering at the AATE/ALEA National Conference a couple of weeks ago - we even got to sit in on a few sessions! #acuedu_p

My favourite display to date! Today, @LauraOsman3 led the co-construction of our Bump It Up wall which highlights the steps we need to take to become fabulous authors. So excited watch my kiddos work towards and track their individual goals. @BankstownSthIS @LeylaDerbas #acuedu_p

Week 7: First week back after Stu Vac, halfway through semester.

Fantastic discussion in class today on behaviour strategies and management. Great to engage with my peers on this matter. Any suggestions for challenging students? #ACUedu_p

What does everyone think about the teacher shortage in Australia? What do you think the Government should do to keep teachers in this profession and convince freshly graduated teenagers to apply for education? #acuedu_p

I use this for my students that have difficulty followed verbalised instructions. This gives them 3 basic instructions at a time and I have seen them absolutely flourish in the classroom and gain confidence in the set task.

I would definity recommend using

At my school I put my hand up to be the Easter Bunny. I am so happy I did it. I got to engage with the kids in a different way and strengthen my relationship with my school community (families did attend too). Never had so much fun with the kids as we danced and sang.

Assessment is an important part of a teachers pedagogy. This is because it allows teachers to receive knowledge on student achievement, plan future lessons which are targeted at the knowledge of the students and enables teachers to give students specific feedback. #acuedu_p

I love this visual for students to be able to see how they can change their fixed mindset to a growth mindset with their language. #acuedu_p
Something I developed and implemented on placement— With a growth mindset, students will know they can develop and improve their learning through persistence, effort and trying new things. #ACUedu_p

This is so powerful! The impact of positive relationships formed within education is so profound. These relationships are also greatly beneficial to creating higher quality learning experiences when trust and respect has been established. #acuedu_p
Education is not teacher centered or even student centered, but it is relationship centered. Teachers thrive with positive admin relationships & students thrive with positive teacher relationships. Relationships are the foundation of education.

This looks like a great way to allow students to develop interpersonal skills and thrive independently too. I look forward to adopting this approach in my class! #ACUedu_p #education
If you've ever wanted to design a station rotation but worried a student may not be successful in a small group dynamic, this strategy may help!

EDFX452 has significantly opened my eyes up. Realistically, entering the classroom for the first time is most definelty not scary. Transitioning to the profession is the most exciting experience, rather than frightening and daunting. Wishing you all the best of luck 🌈 #acuedu_p

The most significant thing I have discovered during EDFD452 surrounding transitioning into the teaching profession is the importance of constant professional development supported by personal and collective team reflection to better growth. 📚✏️💛 #ACUedu_p
