How can you live like this
- You walk into a coffee shop.
- You order a regular cappuccino.
- The menu says $5.
- You reach the payment screen.
- Three tipping options appear.
- 18%, 20%, or 25%.
- You're being asked to tip before you've even received your coffee.
- You hesitate for a second.
- The cashier is standing right in front of you.
- You feel pressured to choose something.
- You select 20%.
- Sales tax gets added.
- Your $5 coffee suddenly costs almost $7.
- You wait for your drink.
- You carry it to your table yourself.
- Nobody even brought it to you.
You just wanted a coffee.
Somehow, you ended up negotiating a financial agreement.

These are the easiest gains you can achieve right away
We switched our Angular test tooling from Analog's JIT to the Rust OXC Angular compiler by @voidzerodev. Prod builds stay on ngc.
🧩 Cypress CT: ~3× faster compile, 2.5× less memory
📚 Storybook: ~25% faster CI builds
🧪 Vitest: 35–60% faster per project (rolling out)

One decision from our AI employee led to 24% more traffic on an Angular Space article.
A month later, he asked for more responsibility.
When Viktor first joined our Slack, I still treated him like software.
Give him something to do. Get the result. Move on.
That changed once ecurring responsibilities.
At Angular Space, he now handles editorial research, sponsorship operations and our weekly acquisition review.
Over the last 30 days, he owned 3 recurring jobs, delivered 17 reports and surfaced 6 decisions for the team.
One of those came from the acquisition review.
Viktor spotted the shift between AI referrals and Google Organic, surfaced a content opportunity, and we moved that article higher in our editorial priorities.
Traffic to it ended up 24% higher.
Then he did something I did not expect.
He reviewed his own work and proposed taking on another responsibility: the weekly Angular Space growth review.
Watch acquisition changes. Surface content opportunities. Flag unusual shifts. Bring us the decisions worth making.
Every action that matters still waits for our approval.
I think the next phase of AI will be measured less in prompts and more in responsibilities owned and outcomes delivered.
We didn't add a tool to the stack. We added someone to the team.

AI as a technology will never recover in the eyes of the public
Regarding potential attacks on energy, food, and water infrastructure, the threat is quite real. Someone is currently probing infra and feeling it out, it is an active threat. Even a little preparation can be helpful, just in case. This comes from the joint cybersecurity advisory partner agencies on August 19:
'The threat actors are conducting reconnaissance and capability development against U.S.-based Siemens PLC installations using Al-generated exploitation scripts disguised as legitimate monitoring tools. The actors leverage Internet scanning services to find Internet-exposed PLCs running outdated software or that are otherwise poorly protected. The U.S. critical infrastructure sectors most targeted by this threat activity include Critical Manufacturing, Energy, Water and Wastewater, Chemical, Food and Agriculture, and Commercial Facilities. This is not a theoretical risk - it is an active threat. Depending on the specific circumstances, exploitation of poorly protected PLCS could lead to disruption of critical industrial processes, safety incidents, downtime or equipment damage, compromise of sensitive data, compliance violations, and cascading impacts across interconnected systems.'
'Using Al to generate exploitation scripts represents an evolution in threat actor capabilities, dramatically reducing the technical expertise and time required to develop working ICS exploitation scripts and malicious tools. In addition, Al enables adversaries to rapidly leverage additional attack vectors and adapt to defensive measures. Threat actors can easily collect public information about vulnerabilities and weaknesses, find exposed and exploitable PLCs, and use Al-generated scripts to act on that information. If PLCs are exposed to the Internet, they are at high risk for exploitation.
Threat actors are leveraging open source industrial automation libraries - specifically snap7.d11/python-snap7 - combined with Al-assisted scripting to create custom tools that mimic legitimate OT monitoring solutions. These tools provide read/write access to Siemens S7 Series PLC memory, configuration data, and ladder logic programs via the S7comm protocol.'

Same Angular 22.2 deck.
Three looks. One of them is the default purple.
A technical deck has to hold up in front of developers. I built this one in Gamma 5 and used Styles to try other looks.
Here’s the creation process, sped up, then the results. 👇

The Angular content stayed in place while the colors and typography changed.
Three looks:
Default purple
Stratos
Blues
The side-by-side comparison shows how differently the same technical presentation can feel.

Try Styles in Gamma 5:
gamma.app/?utm_medium=cr…
Which would you present to a room of developers:
1, 2 or 3?
