@elonmusk What’s coming was avoidable, but Republicans in Congress let Trump start a war, increase spending, arm a genocide, betray MAHA, and cover up for Epstein’s coconspirators. I was ousted with over $30 million of foreign lobby money for refusing to go along, and here we are.

Tucker Carlson is deranged. He accuses me personally of ignoring a US citizen allegedly attacked in Judea/Samaria by Israelis & says I "blew him off." Tucker knows how to contact me, but he'd rather make unfounded accusations than get facts.
Here is a timeline of Embassy Jerusalem American Citizen Services' interactions on this case. We have never been able to speak directly to the father, (name redacted) who was allegedly injured in an attack by settlers, only to his son in Chicago, (name redacted). The son has repeatedly asked that he be the only person with whom we speak with.
19 Oct – ACS received an email from (son) alleging his father had been attacked at his home in Turmusaya by settlers and was now at Istishari Hospital in Ramallah. We called the son in Chicago the same day and asked for contact information for his father which he was unwilling to provide. We followed up the same day with an email to (son).
20 Oct – We followed up with another email to (son) asking for contact information. (Son) asked us to call him. We called the son twice that day and there was no answer. We called the hospital in Ramallah several times but were unable to reach anyone.
21 Oct – Received another email from (son) saying his father was undergoing surgery at the hospital. We called the son in Chicago who said he would send contact information for next of kin in the WB which we didn’t receive. He stated he didn’t want to pursue the matter with the local authorities and said family members would travel from the States to the WB and wanted assurances they wouldn’t be denied entry at the airport.
22 Oct – We spoke again with (son) who subsequently wrote in an email…”Thank you for taking the time to speak with me and for your understanding regarding the tragic incident involving my father. Thank you again for your time, support, and assistance during this difficult time.” We responded in an email that we would like to speak directly with his father or his uncle and asked for local contact numbers. We didn’t receive any numbers. We received another email that same day saying his brother and mother were traveling to the WB from the States and he wanted assurances that they would be allowed in. We also received medical reports and photos passed to us from the son showing the wounds of his father.
23 Oct – We called the hospital in Ramallah but were unable to reach the father.
26 Oct – We called the (son) in Chicago, but no answer. We left a message asking if the brother and mother had arrived and contact numbers for them. We haven’t received a response or contact numbers.
Tucker, you can apologize when you find your conscience & acknowledge the facts.

Ambassador Huckabee, this is unreleased video of an American who was beaten almost to death last week by Israeli settlers. You know his name because he came to you for help, but you blew him off. That’s disgraceful. Do your job.

Wild that the 14YO had to call 911 for help (because no adult was available to offer first aid or drive their injured 9YO sibling to the ER), yet people are defending the out-of-state parent in the comments.
I have a very responsible 14YO. She does babysit her younger siblings, but never for more than a few hours, certainly never overnight (let alone for 5 days), and we're always nearby so we can zip home in an emergency. She also has nearby family, friends, and neighbors she can call.
It is wrong that this 14YO was put in a situation where they had to choose between calling the cops (which they likely knew would get their mom arrested) and letting their 9YO sibling suffer. No kid should have to make that choice, and the people defending this are nuts.
And yeah, it's hard to be a single parent. It's hard to be an abuse survivor. But if she's got a job that's flying her to Vegas for a week, she can afford to have a sitter or rotation of friends sleeping over or having the kids over to ensure that they're safe.
At the very, very, VERY least she could have had friends or neighbors her kids could call in an emergency so they didn't have to dial 911. This is basic. Like, the absolute lowest standard imaginable.

No rational person would leave a 14YO in charge of a 12, 11 and 9YO for an entire business week with only a babysitter checking in on them 2x a day. The status of the kids (hygiene, what they were eating, the state of the house, etc) is going to be a huge factor in sentencing.

Our stuck up neighborhood doesn’t want the outsiders flooding our town when Halloween falls on a weekend. So, we do it tonight.
Anyway, kids have to walk a long way to get to my house, so they get rewarded with pretty decent treats (as long as they do a trick for me).

I read once that healthy children are whinier and more angry with their parents when they feel safe and trust that their parents will neither hurt nor reject them. The relationship feels safe.
I’ve been thinking about that a lot in relationship to the comfort of leftists to show up and scream racist at conservatives.
It is completely based in them knowing that the right will not in any way hurt them. They have no fear of the right to actually be facist. But they are terrified they will be excommunicated by their own community.
It’s so fascinating to watch.

Two weeks to stop the spread, amirite?
Sen. @tedcruz in March: "I don't believe that what is happening in Iran will be front and center in November. If it extends that long, we've done something wildly wrong... The president said at the beginning this is going to be a matter of several weeks."

Everyone seems to be misunderstanding the story about the mom arrested for leaving her 4 kids home while she went to Vegas.
>It was a work trip, not a vacation
>Babysitter came every morning to get kids ready for school
>The babysitter checked on them again after school
>The kids were 14coming home in 5 days
>Kids father charged with hitting the mother
>Florida has no law setting an age kids can be home alone
...call me crazy, but when I was a kid this would have been NO PROBLEM AT ALL.
I'm on the mother's side here, all charges should be dropped.

I was taught touch math in elementary school over 40 years ago and still sometimes use it in certain situations. It can be a fast strategy to add multiple numbers up, and just another computation tool to keep in your toolbox.
However, I think this mom is teaching it wrong. Kids should touch count the entire number before moving onto the next one to avoid errors.

I’m now convinced our kids are being intentionally setup to fail by our education system
American parent has her child show the new way they are being taught to do math
This is the most insane thing you’ll ever see. You just need to see this for yourself…. Apparently this is stead of doing math, you just count dots on letters
No Math is being done here

OK people. What are your thoughts on the doomsday scenario everyone is talking about?
Admittedly, I’m skeptical because it feels very “COVID-esque” in that government leaders lied and fear mongered to control and usurp freedoms, and this has similar vibes. I just don’t trust government narratives anymore.
Are you taking this seriously?

If a 25-year-old in 2024 had every incentive to vote Republican… as so many did…
That 27-year-old today has every incentive to NOT vote Republican.
And it is 100% the fault of Republicans, who controlled every branch of government and broke every promise inside of 2 years.

The amount of people suddenly saying they have no problem leaving a middle schooler at home and in charge of three younger kids for 3+ days is astonishing!
These are also the same people who will argue 14 year olds can’t have sex changes, tattoos, drink alcohol, drive a car, consent to sex, etc.

@IroncladOak’@CBSNewsyears old is 8th grade. Middle school.
They are in the throws of major brain and physical development. Being flooded with hormones. All of which dramatically affect decision making and situational awareness, even for the best raised, mature-for-their-age, responsible kid.
Can they baby sit for several hours? Sure! But to leave them in charge of 3 younger children for 3 or more days is irresponsible and negligent.

My wife teaches English at a high school in Japan.
Last week, she gave her students a writing prompt:
"If you could be American for one day, what would you do?"
She read me the answers at dinner. She had to stop three times because she was laughing too hard.
"Own a pickup truck. I don't need a truck. I just want to say, 'Don't worry, I'll grab the truck.'"
"Have a garage. Not for a car. For 'stuff.'"
"Buy 48 rolls of toilet paper at Costco. I live with my parents. I want them anyway."
"Get a free refill. Then another one. Then another one. Until they ask me to leave. They won't ask me to leave."
"Water my lawn at 6 a.m. in a bathrobe and wave at my neighbor."
"Call my teacher 'dude.'" (My wife underlined this one. Twice.)
"Hang a flag on my house for no reason. Just because it's Tuesday."
And a lot of them wrote some version of this:
"Tell my dad I love him. Out loud. At the dinner table."
Then she had the class vote for the best answer.
The winner wasn't funny. It came from the funniest kid in the class. The truck kid.
"Stand up when the anthem plays, put my hand on my heart, and look around and see everybody else doing it too."
My wife asked him why he picked that one.
He shrugged.
"Because then you're never proud alone."
