@elshayib_ Okay, this document explains why we've been seeing such ridiculous promotions. The guy just swapped out a , metahuman character in Epic's pre made scene and claimed Kimi created it. Once he was exposed, he had to delete the post.

@TimSweeneyEpic @mattworkman Tim, your own marketplace, Fab, requires AI disclosure too. Why is it transparency on your platform but a “political statement” on Steam?

One of the biggest problems I see in the AI community is how many people with little or no experience in game development or programming mistake every flashy demo for a technological breakthrough.
Even some of the biggest AI news accounts fall into this category. They got into t without understanding the fundamentals, they're now misleading others about what AI actually accomplishes.
Ready-made Unreal Engine projects and marketplace assets are being repackaged as “AI-built games.” The same crowd sees a Three.js demo and thinks game development has been solved. When the truth comes out, some creators quietly delete their posts.
As a result, people jump into game development thinking AI will handle everything, only to end up producing AI slop. And I don't think most of them even realize what they're doing.
My advice to anyone genuinely interested in making games: Study game design, 3D modeling, animation, programming, and gameplay mechanics. Use AI to help you learn these fundamentals.
The more you understand the process, the better you can guide AI. If you don't know where to point it or how to evaluate its output, you can't expect quality results.
The problem isn't what AI can do. It's how well you understand what you're asking it to do.

This is what my Dot can actually produce in Blender, by the way. Stop misleading people by passing off marketplace assets as AI generated work.

@bioware I'm genuinely sad to see BioWare go. Anthem could've been something special without the live service obsession. Instead of listening to players, you kept moving in the opposite direction.

@thsottiaux Basic service reliability shouldn't be the headline of a 28-day shipping event. You promised significant improvements, not minor fixes.

@EpicGames EpicGamesLauncher.exe is currently consuming over 5 GB of dedicated VRAM on my PC. That's an unreasonable amount for a game launcher. Fix this first.

@atrupar Posting this with apologies to all jellyfish, but I think Trump's IQ is somewhere around this level.

Never try this with GPT-6.1 Sol. It has no idea how to use it.
Unreal Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides an official, Epic-supported way to connect your favorite agentic LLM tools directly to Unreal Engine🤝
Built on the open MCP standard, it enables agents to take action in your projects using the capabilities exposed by each editor—so agentic coding tools or build your own integrations, skills, and workflows around how you create: epic.gm/ue-mcp-docs

@thsottiaux If the solution is always a reset, the real problem still isn’t fixed.

@goon_nguyen I gave Sol 6.1 one simple task: rename and organize my folders.

@thsottiaux I’m sorry, but no announcement can justify what you did. You have to be better than your competitors at all times.
Who gave you the idea that we’d pay you this kind of money for a worse experience? Do you think people are stupid?

@TokenGremlin Not just Plus. On my Pro account, I can’t even select Astra on mobile. I only see Pro. Astra shows up normally in the desktop browser though. Am I missing something, or is mobile access different?

@PlayStation The game’s reputation is basically around here right now. I really don’t think you should push it any further.

I don’t think it’s a nerf. What’s strange is that some users have these issues while others don’t, and it seems to depend on the task.
For me, the biggest problems are image generation forgetting the previous image or failing to understand an uploaded reference, and coding outputs songe characters or emojis. It also adds its own explanations even when I ask for an exact copy.
Another weird issue is that sometimes, instead of summarizing the result, it just replies with “yes.” Something clearly feels off, but I can’t tell what exactly is causing it.

@Avenoxai Bu bir compute sorunu gibi durmuyor. Astra’da da bir şeyler bozuk. Önemli bir projeniz varsa erteleyin ya da bekleyin; çıktılar aşırı bozuk.

@thsottiaux There are some weird things happening with Astra. It gives nonsensical responses and strange chat titles.

#Unreal is fun
Saw a procedural shader like this and wanted to try something similar in Unreal Engine. Ended up with this.

@aap_twak @VFXCentral By the way, I’d recommend generating the model as a high poly mesh without getting into textures or UVs, then doing the retopology in Blender. Even under the heaviest workloads, VRAM usage never went above about 6 GB when I used it that way.

@buckberi @menacevigilante Sanat yönetmenliği diye bir şey yokmuş. Persona 5’te Morgana aslında böyle görünmek istiyordu, teknoloji yetmemiş.
