@tobitege @KirillOsenkov That's what Opus says for example about ETW. For other platforms, it also depends. On macOS for example, it is a manual sampling (the OS provides none) so it does also impact the performance, but the sampling frequency is much less than 8KHz ETW.

Also, in this release, CodeMode can present more things from a script and Graphs in Canvases with React Flow!

CodeMode support in CodeAlta is a game changer in terms of harness efficiency. Look at the kind of scripts that it can generate in one go to automate e.g. launching sessions, testing and measuring them... It was requiring a huge amount of separate tools to do this before ๐Ÿคฏ

Code Mode also makes the CodeAlta harness leaner ๐ŸŽ๏ธ
On 51 hard tasks of SWE-bench Pro:
- Claude Opus 5.5: same score as Claude Code (50/51), 12% cheaper
- GPT-6 Astra: one more task than Codex (47 vs 46)
Testing is costly, but we did as much as we could! ๐Ÿ“Š

- Workflows & Code Mode: your agent writes a small script that plans, runs sub-agents in parallel and comes back with a nice markdown with pictures ๐Ÿงฉ

@kzu I would prefer to let the model decide what to do next, as it is highly dependent on your instructions / way of working / what was done in the previous turn...etc.

For Claude Code provider, we activate the feature "suggest next prompt" but this feature should be built-in

I haven't used it yet, but one cool feature in CodeAlta 1.9.x+ is to support model tiers & fallback:

- An agent can create sub-session with a model tier & it'll pick the model defined (--tier quick)
- If a provider/model has reached its quota / unavailable, it will switch to the next modt

@stefannikolei It took 13min to build it, in a single turn. The model checked the design, too screenshots, tried many resize, changed the light/dark theme. One C# and JS files, less than ~1200 lines of code together. Entirely built dynamically from an agent within CodeAlta ๐Ÿš€

@stefannikolei Cool, thanks! Have you tried creating a plugin + canvas with CodeAlta ?

I just asked Opus 5.5 to "Create a plugin+canvas to nicely display commits in a project."

And it created this beauty, accessible on all projects.

Let it build it, take screenshots, improve the design! ๐Ÿฅฐ

@ThePritamJagtap Hm, have you seen the small grip on the left/right of the prompt? Also configurable from the appearance settings

I will check the colors, but they are supposed to be distinctive from e.g. tool calls and reasoning messages.

I will have to optimize/benchmark GPT-6 (Astra) with its handling of sub-sessions, a bit skeptical about its efficiency... but also its context window is much smaller than Opus 5.5 (on Codex by default)...
