CodeAlta 3.0 is out, a major release! 🎉 (RT appreciated 🙏)
- Workflows & Code Mode: your agent writes a small script that plans, runs sub-agents in parallel and comes back with a nice markdown with pictures 🧩
- Watch the graph run live, save it as a workflow 🔁

Another story behind CodeMode support: CodeAlta is using the amazing JavaScript engine Jint from @sebastienros and @markolahma
Naturally sandboxed and multi threaded, super efficient execution for these workflow scripts!

In the Statistics tab of CodeAlta, you will get insights about how scripts are running.
I'm just starting to use them, so I don't have much stats yet on my machine, but it's going to grow over time! 😎

There is a more detailed report available here codealta.github.io/docs/benchmark/
Code Mode also makes the CodeAlta harness leaner 🏎️
On 51 hard tasks of SWE-bench Pro:
- Claude Opus 5.5: same score as Claude Code (50/51), 12% cheaper
- GPT-6 Astra: one more task than Codex (47 vs 46)
Testing is costly, but we did as much as we could! 📊

For the behind story of the optimization of the harness, it costed me $1000 💸 to run a fraction of the SWE-bench Pro Hard (51 tasks) so I won't do that every month 😅 but it was worth to do. CodeAlta has now a better harness! 🚀

- New Codex CLI provider (like we do with Claude Code CLI), so ChatGPT Business subscriptions work with CodeAlta 🤖
- Plugin hooks on every tool call 🪝
- Sessions resume by themselves when your limit resets ⏰
- Attach files and answer your agents from your phone 📱

I added labels in CodeAlta 2.2 today to have nicer projects grouping, but they were not pretty. Improving this for 2.3, much nicer!

With all my projects in CodeAlta now nicely organized! Look at this beauty! 🤩
This is going to land in 2.2.1 in the coming hour! 🚀

And you know what: I just had to ask CodeAlta to organize my projects. I didn't do it manually. That's so cool what we can do with AI coding agents these days! 🤯

Having a GPT 6.1 Terra is nice, but what I really want is a GPT 6.1 Astra that makes me want to come back to use my Codex subscription with a 1M context window. Opus 5.5 is just the king in town these days.

No surprises why I had to leave Mastodon. The anti-AI reactions there were so strong that I couldn't share my enthusiasm and my projects there, I didn't feel secure to talk about this. X is still morally a bad place to be, but I need to connect to the right folks and energy 🙏
The poll so far between Twitter, Bluesky and Mastodon. I think it looks less absurd than last time, but still pretty clear that the base is divided. x.com/mitsuhiko/stat…

Sandboxing is coming to CodeAlta! 🔐 Using as many adversarial reviews on top of what Opus 5.5 did: GPT 6.1 Sol, Argon 4 and Kimi K3.1 Pro 🔬
