The last paper from my Ph.D. work is out! In this work, we utilized granular scaffolds comprised of PEG-based microgels to study the secretory properties of MSCs isolated from osteoporotic bone environments.

Further, we observed these secretions were dependent on cell a specific type of cell-cell interaction, called N-cadherin. Only OVX rMSCs (and not control cells) decreased secretion of both MCP-1 and TIMP-1 when N-cadherin interactions were blocked.
