A bullet point breakdown of starting balance from all revenue streams & itemised list of financial transactions to show balancing of the books, just like businesses & self-employed people are legally required to provide the taxman...

The IEA 2026 Energy Crisis Policy Response Tracker confirms governments around the world have introduced measures to support consumers in response to the current energy crisis.
FairFuelUK cites IEA data showing 113 countries and the European Commission had introduced policy measures supporting consumers and businesses in response to rising energy costs by June 2026, with 55 countries adopting taxation measures.
Cox said:
“If governments around the world can act to protect consumers and businesses from an energy shock, Britain can do more too. Affordable fuel isn't just a motorists' issue. It's a cost-of-living, inflation, business and growth issue.”
IFS WRONG AGAIN: WHAT DOES RAISING FUEL DUTY COST BRITAIN?
The Institute for Fiscal Studies has previously estimated that retaining the full 5p Fuel Duty reduction permanently would cost around £2.3bn a year by 2029-30 relative to then-current forecasts.
Howard Cox responded:
“Here we go again. When it comes to Fuel Duty, I sometimes think IFS stands for the ‘Institute for Fiscal Stupidity’.”“The planned increase in punitive Fuel Duty isn't money the Government already has. If Ministers don't take that additional tax, more money stays with families and businesses to spend, invest and meet their costs.”“Before asking what freezing Fuel Duty costs Whitehall, ask what raising it costs Britain. If growth is the priority, leaving more money circulating in the real economy instead of increasing the cost of mobility is a no-brainer.”
NOW LET'S GET BRITAIN MOVING
In the next few weeks, Howard Cox will publish his 20-year transport and mobility strategy, developed with input from more than 80,000 FairFuelUK supporters, drivers and public transport users.
The strategy will put economic growth, productivity, affordable mobility and a more efficient integrated transport system at the centre of Britain's long-term transport policy.
