The next great "language for agents" should be:
- As fast as Rust
- As little design space as Go
- Have the strictest type/verification system ever written
Bend seems like an interesting first effort

WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners.
Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads.
Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was. n found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems.
This isnโt a bug, Itโs the product bro.

Added a Releases page to Slow Reader to show whatโs new in each version.
On wide screens, I put the headings in a separate column so you can quickly scan for updates that interest you.

petition to open source Arc!!
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet todayโs security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
ยท Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
ยท Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
ยท Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
ยท The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Three years ago I started working on this idea, and here it is: Nanoviews 1.0 ๐
It's a UI library on the Nano Kit signals: real DOM without JSX, virtual DOM or re-renders, even without a build step. All in ~4 kB.
What do you think?

.@browsercompany @joshm is sunsetting Arc and says Dia is the ideal replacement. I disagree. Arc is a labor of love and design craft, and I enjoy using it every day. Dia, on the other hand, lacks that design love, and Iโm not sure why.
Hereโs 6+ things where Arc is still better than Dia

Added offline support to Slow Reader, including preloading images, etc.
Offline support is standard for RSS readers. But now you can read your social feeds offline, too even on the NYC subway (where signal is very bad) or a plane.

Slow Reader now loads your Mastodon and Bluesky timeline. Other networks are coming later.
Why the white screenshot instead of our usual warm yellow? The theme changes when you switch from Useful to Fun, gently nudging you to stay in Useful.
Releasing today.

I'm amused at how this can stress your GPU while looking like this:

I want Slow Reader to set new standards for protecting users.
It's open source, local-first, and end-to-end encrypted.
But how can you prove a website was actually built from its published source code?

The verifier itself is intentionally simple: no dependencies, with literally every line of code commented.
You can audit it yourself (or ask an LLM to help). It's designed to keep running automatically, without my involvement.
