Fifty Years just crossed $1 billion in gains.
Most of that is still unrealized.
But for a kid who grew up on food stamps, literally counting pennies, it’s a pretty cool milestone.

Debt markets have soured on land-based data center buildout, even as GPU rental prices skyrocket b/c of 'Monty Python cheese shop' supply levels.
The reason is no surprise: access to power, permitting issues, and familiar land-based infrastructure construction delays prevent s from coming online.
To that we say: data centers should be operated on the ocean where power, space, and cooling are abundant, and manufactured in shipyards that already build systems of equivalent complexity and size in 12-18 months.
Last week we showed our ocean data center node to some close friends and partners. It's designed and built with the same technologies and supply chains as our upcoming 3MWe token factory (aluminum hull built by our partner shipyard, large-diameter hydrokinetic turbine, high-lift wing sail, and seawater cooling). Launches Nov 15, first power and tokens soon after.

Maybe controversial: the conversation about scientific bottlenecks is overfocused on automation. New measurement technologies deserve more attention. You could automate an assay that needs an entire facility – or you could REINVENT the assay so that it fits into just a few tubes.

We’ve been backing deep tech startups for over a decade.
Recently we noticed something strange. A huge number of the best founders are coming out of the same 4 companies:
Anduril, Neuralink, Tesla, SpaceX.
We started calling them The ANTS.
We wanted to know what made these companies such great startup factories, so we flew across the country to talk with these founders.

You Can See Everything is wildly, astonishingly good.
It's deeply human documentary that makes a story we all think we know feel entirely new.
But it's also so much more than a documentary. Unlike anything else.
Read nothing more about it. Just go see it.

This is an unintentionally damning admission by Israel.
They admit a "severe act of violence" was perpetrated by Israeli settler terrorists against western diplomats and then say "The consulate's visit was not coordinated with the IDF. Such coordination is important to prevent "
They're admitting that settler terrorism is the default on the land they illegally occupy. "Don't call in the military to escort you? You'll probably be attacked."
And these are western diplomats! And as we've seen, the same happens with American press. Just imagine what's done daily to the Palestinians.

What they are is terrorists.

Imagine that Chinese universities were so good that the best and the brightest American kids decided to go study there. And imagine that after graduation, many of them decided to stay in China and build businesses there and open scientific labs there.
That would not be good for d be great for China. You might imagine in that scenario that America would try to implement a fee on American students to disincentivize them from going to study in China, hoping to keep them at home in America so that they started companies and advanced science and paid taxes here.
Now imagine if before we did that, China implemented that fee on American students, preventing our best and brightest from going there to study. "What an idiotic own goal!" we would think.

We did something we'd never done by leading Healthleap's pre-seed even though they were based in South Africa.
It was clear @josiahbuild and his co-founder/sister Jemima would move mountains to solve clinical malnutrition.
Now made in SF with some of the world's best partners.

If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 2026 Midterm Elections, I’m going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America, $5,000! Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to signing those checks!Community noteThis repeats a promise Trump made in September 2026. The US has approximately 250 million adult citizens so the total cost would be over 1.25 trillion dollars. Congress must approve any such federal spending.

To design, build, and take critical a new nuclear reactor spending only this much money and in only 3 years is absolutely bonkers.
BTW, Aalo only spent around $100M total to get to criticality.
That includes our full-scale fuel load, full-scale reactor (no sodium), factory and its machinery, all payroll, regulatory fees, etc. Everything.
The people who told you nuclear has to be expensive are wrong.
