One of my favorite things @olivertepman's built! Targeted, customized annotations. I've been using it to add little contextual tweaks into my prototypes. Some nice usability improvements too, like holding [space] while you annotate to interact with the site.
Annotations paired with WebMCP give your agents more context to act on.
Check out how @kagigz uses custom annotation controls and suggested prompts to help users edit scenes and update expenses in ChatGPT’s browser.

So excited to be launching GPT-6 today with Intelligent UI to everyone in ChatGPT! The model can now create custom visual and interactive responses on the fly, as quickly as it generates text. 🎨
ChatGPT launched in 2022 as a text-only low-key research preview. While the product has evolved a lot since then, responses have largely remained text-based. With Intelligent UI, we wanted to rethink the interface from the ground up and give our models more ways to communicate visually. Getting to shape the research direction behind that vision has been especially rewarding.
We built a library of native, streamable components and a compiler that renders interfaces progressively as the model generates them. This combines a familiar design foundation with the flexibility to compose each response dynamically. We trained GPT-6 to use this library to create clear, useful interfaces and make thoughtful design decisions—including when interactivity helps and when simple text is enough.
Making this work meant thinking about model behavior, product design, and engineering scaling requirements together. It’s been awesome working through these challenges with folks across research, engineering, design, and product over the last few months.
I’m a visual learner, so this is a game changer for me. Some of my favorite uses so far have been planning trips, practicing my Italian, learning new concepts, and shopping.
Give it a try and let us know what you think! Rolling out starting today to Plus, and expanding tomorrow to Free and Go.

Legendary impact from @btraut. Truly values user experience from end to end; in addition to this amazing perf work, he holds a high bar on craft.
Last week, I pushed a change to the ChatGPT desktop app that makes the loading of threads faster. Not just a little faster. A LOT faster.
✅ Long threads now load over 90% faster.
✅ Decreased the memory footprint of long threads by over 90%.

Introducing Applied Electrodynamics.
What would the world look like if we could see beyond visible light, across the entire electromagnetic spectrum?
The way waves interact with matter, at every wavelength, encodes far more than just shape and color. It reveals internal chemical composition, and more: a whole layer of the physical world that's invisible to us today.
That's what we're building at Applied Electrodynamics: the infrastructure to fully perceive the physical world.
WaveSight is the first piece of the puzzle. It brings radio frequencies into human perception, revealing the internal structure of objects behind opaque layers. Designed for construction crews, industrial inspectors, and security personnel.

Keep work across multiple folders in one Codex project.
Local projects can now include related code, docs, and reference files from multiple folders. Codex can read and write across them while one primary folder remains the Git root.
