This is the team behind NEXTPredict Summit New York.
Months of planning. More late nights than we'll admit. And then, last week, it all came together at Convene, 30 Hudson Yards.
2,000+ of you in the room. 180 speakers. 47 countries. Two weeks before the midterms, the stry showed up, and the love you gave us was insane. ❤️
To every attendee, speaker and journalist: thank you for giving us two days of your time
To our partners, thank you for backing a first edition: Headline Partner mrkts, Strategic, and our Platinum Partner, Rolr, EDGE Markets, Radar and Betconstruct, and every partner who stood with us.
And to the people in this photo: WE DID IT!!!
We'll be back. New York, the capital of prediction markets, this is only the beginning.
𝐒𝐨, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭? 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫?

Had a wonderful time at the @nextpredictio conference. They definitely raised the bar for PM conferences moving forward. Kudos to the entire team.
Day 2 hit different.
Thursday’s new names turned into Friday’s meetings. And the Main Stage kept delivering, from a live market debate on the Senate to polls vs models vs markets on the midterms.
Packed sessions, a buzzing lounge and a networking night to close it out. That’s York, Day 2.
Thank you to every attendee, speaker, journalist and partner who made these two days what they were.
How was your Day 2? Tell us below.

Thanks @CryptoGamr and @nextpredictio for the ticket, saved me $2,000.
Walked in expecting a room full of gamblers. Walked out after two days talking with the smartest young people in America, half of them Ivy grads.
My takeaway: prediction markets feel a lot like crypto in ts aren't new. People have been betting on elections and games forever. What changed was the 2024 election. The markets called it better than the polls, and suddenly everyone was paying attention.
The reason this works in the US: in most states, sports betting needs a separate state license. Prediction markets go through federal derivatives regulation instead. They're event contracts, closer to a swap or an option than a bet. Right now the whole industry is waiting to see where the rules land.
The crowd surprised me. Very young. Very educated. A lot of people who've never worked in crypto. Some came from TradFi, some are just political junkies. And nobody thinks like a banker. Nobody has "5 years of prediction market experience" because that doesn't exist yet.
Tickets were $1-2k. Over a thousand people flew into NYC from all over for this. People don't spend that kind of money unless they're making it.
There's a lot of overlap with crypto. Same users, same builders, some of the same infra. But I think this grows faster in the US. You don't need a wallet or to understand a chain. You just need an opinion, and everyone has an opinion on politics and sports.
The big unknown is regulation. Sports is the biggest driver of volume right now, and it might also be the first thing that gets restricted. States and the feds are still fighting it out. It's a gray zone, and that's exactly why it's interesting.
What the industry is short on isn't engineers. It's people: sales, BD, marketing, growth, policy, and people who can take this global. Get in now and you become the "experienced hire" in two years. Same thing happened in crypto.
Last thing: the gender ratio at the event was about 20:1. Ladies, this industry needs you.

The first-ever NEXTPredict Summit is over 😢
But this is just the beginning. We ain’t going nowhere!
I’ve become completely enamoured with prediction markets and vow to stay active in this industry.
And I’m still not entirely sure what this industry even is.
Finance, trading, olitics, sport and media have somehow all ended up at the same party. It’s wonderfully weird, and I’m hooked.
What’s impressed me most, though, is the people.
The entrepreneurs, the young and ridiculously passionate builders bringing their ideas to life, and the many people who’ve given their time to a complete nobody (me) in this industry.
People have patiently answered my daft questions, shared their knowledge, made introductions, and asked for absolutely nothing in return.
That generosity has genuinely meant a lot to me.
To everyone who travelled, spoke, listened, debated, supported us, or simply took a chance on the first edition, thank you!!
You made this a huge success, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I could have filled this post with pictures of packed rooms, impressive stages and important people. Instead, I’ve chosen the incredible people behind the scenes.
The ones who worked ridiculous hours, solved problems nobody else saw, and somehow made the whole thing happen. They deserve far more credit than they’ll ever ask for.
We’ll be back in New York on 15 April. But I hope to see many of you online, on calls or, if I’m lucky, over a coffee well before then.
Because I didn’t fall for this strange world just to sell a few tickets and disappear.
There are too many interesting people to meet, too many things I still don’t understand, and too many stories waiting to be told.
I’m here for the long haul.
So let’s keep learning. Let’s keep building. Let’s keep connecting.
But first, a rest (and maybe a small, proud cry) back home in Singapore ❤️
