It is rarely the head coach.
Which coach is responsible for the performance of the players.
Before and after practice?
Off days?
Who is the guy in the trenches with the players?
Who is the player guy?
Who is running through the wall for the players?
This guy is a part of the staff on championship caliber level programs and void on the staff of the average.
Dynamic assistants impact players and become their guy and are also unquestionably loyal to the head coach.
Who is the guy on your staff that is all in for the players?

Can we all agree that using the whole field is important for all hitters?
The launch angle, exit velocity craze has crippled some hitters development drastically.
Very few kids work on driving the baseball the other way anymore.
If I had a son that was a lefthanded hitter.
He would grow up from a very young age understanding that if he could consistently drive the ball in the left center field gap.
and
Was addicted to not striking out.
He would have a monumental advantage.

Moxie and feel for competing.
Winning is important to Cantrell.
Raised exactly right.
The D1 coach that gets him committed is going to look really smart.
Cooper is talented enough and smart enough to play for an Omaha caliber program.
Will play the summer with the Front Royal Cardinals.

Collegiate summer leagues are incredibly important for development.
They are almost not optional for players striving to be the best version of themselves.
If you are a successful college pitcher and want to pitch in a prestigious summer league against some of the best hitters in the country I may be able to help you.
You have to be super competitive and tough enough to be reliable and dependable.

A lot of college players are about to be told they don't have a roster spot and need to find a new school.
Most of them will have a commonality.
They took the summer off from playing competitive games.

The NLB Way.
The Brewers don't talk about hitting. They talk about offense. Walks, bunts, first to third, and "drag them" with two strikes. That's how you win a title. Full Mile High Territory episode: youtu.be/w-xTQ3Ng_QA

@nextlevelbb In your opinion do you think that is the most common commonality?

@Joshua_Campos5 The most common is lack of physicality.

A lot of coaches need to watch this.
Pat Murphy says he still wasn’t a good coach even after winning at Notre Dame and going to the College World Series at Arizona State because he was still making it about him instead of the players
“You know, when you get to a spot in life when you’re a little bit older, you out you. When I dropped my ego, which took a while, I wasn’t a good coach at Notre Dame. Even though we were winning games, I still wasn’t good. I didn’t know baseball, for one, and it was about me a little bit at the end.”
“I started the right way. I loved Notre Dame, and I didn’t want to embarrass the university. I was working for $7,000 a year. I just wanted to be good and not embarrass them. We had a lot of success, but then it became about me.”
“And then I got to ASU, and it became about me again. We won a lot and went to the World Series a lot, but I just wasn’t good. It took getting knocked on my ass a little bit. I had that NCAA thing, which was total bull, but it woke me up. My kids made a difference in my life, and you start to realize it ain’t about you. Honestly, it’s not about me.”
“And whenever I started focusing on that, we came into last year and everything wrong happens. We trade Corbin. Woody’s out for the year. Devin’s out. We cut the budget $30 million. We’re going to suck. And again, I just kept saying, ‘It’s not about me. Make it about that young energy.’ And we had these young guys go out and make me look good. Hungry players, you remember when you guys were hungry in your career? Hungry players make the manager look good.”
“And that’s exactly what happened. Now I got the credit for it. I’m still under construction. I’m not great. There are so many areas I suck in. But then you’re trying to find staff members to help you, trying to realize what you suck at.”
“But the most important thing is love the player. When you really find the good in that dude, that’s it. The guy that’s hardest to love needs love the most. I’m at a point in life where it’s about them. And if you keep it about them…”

A lot of young players have to be deprogrammed and disinfected to have a chance to play winning baseball.
Some will understand.

Any parent or coach that does this belongs in jail.
It amazes me how many parents allow high school kids to drink alcohol in their homes. As a police officer, I responded to countless parties where parents would say, “It’s okay, we’re here watching them.”
Since when does adult supervision make underage drinking acceptable?
