I bet it feels so fucking good to throw a molotov at your occupiers as they leave
This is how Iraqis said goodbye to the American troops leaving their country.

💥Grateful residents threw Molotov cocktails at the saviors of democracy.

Why is the FBI falsely telling people that the election is on Wednesday?
Election day is Wednesday and the #FBI is working around the clock to ensure the midterms are safe. Special Agent in Charge P. J. O'Brien and Public Affairs Specialist Christine Jeltema sat down with @thevoiceofct to discuss how the FBI protects the integrity of elections, including threats, voter intimidation, and ballot fraud. Listen in on their conversation here: ow.ly/2FOZ5102Zwb.

This is the AI techbro who got incinerated in that private jet accident cause he thought he was too good to fly commercial. His company built tools that take an anonymous visit to a website and turn it into a real name and contact info. His company kept a digital file on people.
@obviceo I guess I'm dead.

One of the soft trends I have yet to read more insight about this year is how there's just not as much cringey, campy, meme-ey messaging on the Dem side. The failure of Kamala's all-vibes-no-substance campaign may have popped that bubble, just like it did away with much of idpol

You're not alone, and I think the crucial obstacle most people have right now is not knowing how to channel that internal scream into something that translates externally. In other words we have to be more willing to summon the courage necessary to start saying this shit out loud
Whenever I’m out in the world running errands or at an appointment or whatever tf, internally I’m screaming “Don’t you care about what our government is doing to Palestinians!?”

The general complacency towards it in the U.S. is so disturbing.

Talk to people in a smart way. In line at the grocery store, at the pump, any place you'd interact with others. We aren't going to post our way to ending the genocide, let alone Palestinian statehood. Be the person that brings it up at every opportunity and enable that in others.

“Mr. President, originally you said this war would last 4-6 weeks, it’s now week 35 and prices continue to climb, what would you say to voters who are concerned about this going into midterms?”

Trump:
Trump: It's not a war we haven't...done very little fighting....uhh we, we wiped out their military, their air force and we did everything we had to do—we wiped out their leaders——but it looks like that's (a deal) coming together very nicely, very very—and that's why I guess the oil prices dropped so precipitously. People found out about it. So we're doing well.

He’s right. In the foodservice industry, labor cost is referred to as a “controllable” meaning “one of 2 costs you have any control over, and therefore must constantly minimize efficiently in order to achieve profitability” literally the only other controllable is cost of goods.
I need people understand that understaffing isn't a bug of where you work, or your manager being a dick, but a feature of a system constantly trying to minimize its biggest cost (labor). Every place I've ever worked it's presented as a perpetually temporary problem. It isn't.

If you work for a large foodservice chain, that labor cost is likely calculated by the register system every minute of every day, how much in sales per labor hour, and as a percentage of total sales from the day. Corporate sees that data too, and will intervene if it’s “too high”

It’s therefore managers job to play mediator between corporate and employees, and if you want to pay your employees well corporate will take issue, and can find ways to eliminate what they see as an inefficiency threatening the profitability of their brand.

I don't know which employer needs to hear this, but it's not your employees' responsibility to work twice as hard just because you've decided not to hire enough people to get the job done

In his defense, bombing Ho Chi Minh City would indeed end the Vietnam War within a week
Trump:

I could have won the Vietnam War in a week.

They kept bombing forests for years instead of going after Ho Chi Minh City.
Community note
Ho Chi Minh City was called Saigon during the Vietnam War and was the capital of US-allied South Vietnam; North Vietnam's capital was Hanoi.
