“Some on the New Right, disgusted by the failures of the Republican establishment, have begun to flirt with a suicidal logic known as ‘accelerationism.’
This is an idea that says the answer is to detach from the GOP entirely, or even to help Democrats win in hopes that a more complete collapse of order will clear the ground for something better.
This is not a legitimate strategy. It is, in the end, the total loss of our nation.” - Cal Kildow

"The ultimate new guards for our future security are not ideas or policies, but they are people. The most vital guards for our way of life are the men and women serving long hours in behind-the-scenes government roles in Washington, D.C." - @bradleyhaley27
Ideas do not reestablish order and justice. People do.
Thats the business of great men – men willing to work far from the public eye to achieve concrete policy wins on behalf of the President and the American people.
Senator Slotkin knows that there is a vast army of great men in this country, and she's afraid they might apply to @americanmoment.

Our response to @ElissaSlotkin's threat to conservative staffers:
“We are going to help them get jobs, we are going to put them to work, and if anyone comes after them—they’ll have a fight on their hands.”

"I heard Muslim teenagers in Bordeaux scream 'allahu akbar' at a family fair, I saw hordes of Muslims gawk at Catholic Churches; in Paris, they own the city."
The Long March host @BreccanFThies was in Paris this week amidst the riots.
The Long March host @BreccanFThies was in Paris this week amidst the riots.
My wife and I left Paris this morning, just before riots were set to begin across the country.
The original plan was to get an uber to the airport later in the day, and enjoy the last morning in the city before flying home.
We were warned by multiple people to call an early uber, because riots would make it impossible to get to the airport. We weren’t sure what to expect, as France is always “protesting” or rioting — but I’m not sure we expected what we’re seeing right now.
The most jarring thing about it is that all the normal French people know. Every normal citizen is aware that their city will burn, and they brush it off.
Their government obviously knows as well, but they do nothing to protect their historic buildings and places, or their culture. There did not seem to be any protective fencing or riot preparation whatsoever.
Everyone in France knew it would burn and they let it happen.
It’s particularly appalling because if you take tours of historic places in France, whether it’s Notre Dame or a 12th century chateau that makes wine, you will hear the same thing: “It’s remarkable that we were able to recover anything from the French Revolution, but so much was lost.”
Everything sacred was burned or melted down for scrap because they didn’t care about western civilization, either.
Now, the enemy is different, but the goal is the same.
I heard Muslim teenagers in Bordeaux scream “allahu akbar” at a family fair, I saw hordes of Muslims gawk at Catholic Churches; in Paris, they own the city.
France, and the West, will fall unless that enemy is removed.

In case you missed it, last week I had the pleasure of appearing on @newguardpress’s new podcast, “The Long March” with @BreccanFThies to talk about my approach to interviewing, hiring, and training the next generation of DC staff. There are some great bits (I think, anyway) ernship and some conversation about a realistic approach to power, but I also shared some personal stories about why this mission is important to me. Thanks again to Breccan and the team for the invitation.
