“As China continues to flagrantly and aggressively assert its influence in the Pacific, the need to maintain a strong naval presence is paramount for deterring a potential conflict—or for winning one, if necessary.”

Nvidia already owns the chips. Now it wants the place where open-source AI lives.

TR didn't bust the trusts so we could let them regrow in AI.

Good on the DOJ for asking questions.

Consolidation has never been the engine of American innovation. Competition is.

Nvidia swallowing Hugging Face would put one company at both ends of the AI stack.

Good on the DOJ for taking a hard look.

We signed on. AI giants want permission to take whatever they want from the open web. Our message to the court: we can't put American newsrooms and national security at risk.

Never, ever, ever doom.
Today marks the anniversary of one of the most important battles in the history of Christendom.

On the morning of October 28, 312 — after receiving a vision of a cross and hearing God say, “In this sign you shall conquer” — Constantine ordered his men to paint the Chi-Rho on re for battle.

He then defeated Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge and claimed Rome, the Eternal City.

Crediting his victory to God, Constantine went on to issue the Edict of Milan, legalizing Christianity across the Roman Empire.

His statue now stands at the foot of the Scala Regia in the Vatican, a permanent monument to this great Christian leader who defended the Church.

Kudos to the @FCC for leading on this issue and ONSHORING customer service centers!

Language barriers make it difficult for callers to navigate support.

The decision @ATT made is a difficult one, but it is correct, and both the company and Americans will be better off for it.
AMERICA ONSHORE 🇺🇸

AT&T just announced that they’re bringing customer service call center jobs back to the U.S.

This is a win for American jobs and for every customer who gets frustrated speaking with overseas operators.

AT&T: “By the end of next year, all AT&T home internet, home phone, and post-paid wireless consumers will be served by Care experts located in the United States.”

Thank you, AT&T.

The FCC is right to consider new restrictions to limit Chinese components in American AI infrastructure. Chairman Carr should move quickly to secure America’s AI future.

One of the greatest Americans to ever live.
Theodore Roosevelt was born in New York City 168 years ago today. Trust-buster, conservationist, builder. The fight he started isn't finished.

America can't reindustrialize on government money alone. It needs trillions, and private credit is already supplying it.

New from @LimasHeberto: how private lenders are building fabs, power plants and data centers, and what Washington should do next.

For decades, Washington let device testing drift overseas. The FCC’s move to onshore test labs is a game-changing step toward restoring permanent domestic control of our technology.

We couldn’t be more support of @BrendanCarrFCC for insisting on reciprocity and fair dealing!
Stakeholders Support Coming Vote on FCC Test Labs Order: This action would limit the @FCC’s recognition of Test Labs to those located in the United States or in countries that grant U.S. labs reciprocal recognition. x.com/i/article/2110…

I asked 30 Japanese 12-year-olds one question.

"What do you think of when you hear 'America'?"

(My nephew's teacher let me visit his class. I was not prepared.)

"Hamburgers the size of my head."

"Everything is big. Even the milk."

"Cowboys." Then a boy asked me, "Do cowboys still exist?"
I said yes.
The whole class cheered.

"They went to the moon."
I told them only Americans have ever walked on it.
The room went completely silent. Respect.

"The best baseball in the world. Even Ohtani had to go there."

"Superheroes. They all live in New York."

Then a quiet girl in the back raised her hand.

"My grandma says when the tsunami came, American soldiers came to help her town. She still has a photo with them on her fridge."

Nobody said anything for a while.

Then the teacher asked, "Who wants to go to America someday?"

Every hand went up.

Including the teacher's.

Forever grateful for @newguardpress and their unwavering support in providing a meaningful platform for young conservatives to fight for the good, true, and beautiful.

These moments keep me hopeful in the future of America and the Western tradition. Verso l’alto! 🇺🇸

This would be a big mistake from HFC.

Congressman Gill IS the future of the party. He’s an effective communicator and sharp as a tack.

This is a rearguard action from members who are quite literally jealous of the media attention.
SCOOP: Some House Freedom Caucus members have privately discussed kicking Rep. Brandon Gill out of the group

"He's not really in the Freedom Caucus. He's just using it for conservative bonafides," one HFC member told @axios

Gill's bid to chair Oversight is fueling resentment beyond HFC, with Republicans questioning whether viral hearing moments qualify him to lead the committee

But Gill also has powerful defenders, including Whip Tom Emmer, who called him "the future of our party."

I have found the images of the rioting in Paris and other French cities heartbreaking. I spent three wonderful years as a doctoral student in Paris, and I easily recognize many of the neighborhoods and streets that are now in flames.

Though its roots go back to ancient Rome, Paris became a truly great city because of the University of Paris, which grew from the Cathedral school of Notre Dame. For centuries, scholars came from all over Europe to this center of learning where the Western intellectual tradition—born of the confluence of Jerusalem, Athens, and Rome—was defended and developed.

What seems clear is that the arsonists and rioters of the present day represent a farrago of forces inimical to the intellectual and moral values of the West.

I had taken such encouragement from the demonstration of pride in Catholicism and Catholic history that was on display when Pope Leo visited France just a few weeks ago.

May the French people rouse themselves to realize that they stand against a determined enemy and that they have the intellectual and spiritual resources to oppose that foe.

Our economy cannot afford Congress eliminating technology that keeps port workers healthy and goods moving.
