I spoke on behalf of @weleadteam WELEAD Africa about the African Gen Z. “Our generation is coming of age in a world where the barriers to entry are higher than ever.”

The discussion focused on advancing human development and the key questions are:

- How can we improve the conditions of young people?
- How can we ensure that capital truly works for the people?
- How can we guarantee access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and quality public service delivery?

Without these foundations, sustainable development is impossible. It is critical that policy makers consider acting on these recommendations. When we invest in young people, Africa develops. @UNDPZimbabwe @UNDPAfrica

The Chairperson of the @_AfricanUnion , H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has appointed Vanessa Nakate of Uganda as his Special Envoy for Youth.

From Botswana to Nairobi, the Memento Africa Lecture Tour has opened up important conversations about memory, hope and the future.

At her second lecture, hosted at the University of Botswana on 10 October, Namatai Kwekweza explored “Memory, Hope and the Birth of a New Order.” ues tomorrow at the University of Nairobi, where she will deliver the tour’s final lecture: “Beyond the Campus: Youth, Leadership and the Pan African Promise.”

🇿🇼 @weleadteamzim , represented by @MalemaZw , attended the Harare Beneficial Ownership Transparency Learning Circle, organised by @accountlabzw on 13 October 2026.

➡️The session explored Beneficial Ownership Transparency (BOT), the disclosure of the individuals who ultimately own, control or benefit from companies, particularly those awarded public contracts.

➡️Participants discussed Zimbabwe’s disclosure framework, gaps in its implementation, and how concealed ownership can enable corruption, money laundering and conflicts of interest in public procurement.

➡️The learning circle underscored the importance of making ownership information accessible and strengthening mechanisms that allow citizens to scrutinise how public resources are allocated and used.

➡️ Stronger BOT is essential to promoting transparency, protecting public resources and ensuring that public contracts serve citizens, not hidden private interests.
