NEW and EXCLUSIVE— I sat down today for @BreitbartNews with @SecRubio at @StateDept for a long-form on-camera interview. First piece of it just published — in it, Rubio explains the America First foreign policy.

“What’s right for America before anything else”

Ted Cruz on SCOTUS would be awesome. Again, have my political disagreements with him and it’s silly for him to run for president in 2028. But SCOTUS? Great spot for him.
🚨 JUST NOW: President Trump reveals he'd nominate TED CRUZ to be the next Supreme Court Justice should one leave the bench during his term in office

"The Democrats will 100% vote for it because they HATE the guy and they want to get rid of him. And the Republicans would 100% y can't STAND him" 😂

"They would like to get rid of him! So I'd get 100% of the vote, and he would be a Supreme Court justice, and he'd do a GREAT job."

I did NOT expect that announcement tonight 😆

I just voted early here in Florida and since again I believe in transparency among our media I am going to say who I voted for and encourage everyone else in the American press to be transparent about their votes as well no matter who they vote for (most will vote Democrat but lie and claim to be “objective.” There is no such thing as objectivity. It’s a make-believe concept that allows leftists to hide. They should just be honest with their audiences that they are a bunch of radical socialist leftists.)

I voted straight Republican ticket. I enthusiastically voted for @ByronDonalds for governor and @AshleyMoodyFL for U.S. Senate. I even held my nose and voted for @JRutherfordFL for Congress (I do not think he should be a Congressman given his history of corruption around stock trades among many other issues but I cannot reward radical leftists who are extreme with power. Rutherford’s day will come but let’s not install psychopaths to remove bad Republicans.) I voted for Republicans for all the other statewide offices too and for state representative.

Florida needs to stay red to stay on the positive trajectory this state has been on. That’s where I stand. Now, to the rest of you in the press, who are you voting for? Be honest.

National Dems have a history of this kind of behavior in NH but I will say Sen. Jeanne Shaheen personally overrode it when it happened to me in 2014.

I was in NH for a month or so covering Scott Brown vs Shaheen for @BreitbartNews in the late stages of the 2014 campaign. Shaheen campaign operatives (really national Dem staffers who were flown up from DC for the final two months of a banner senate race) kicked me out of an open press event. It became a huge issue and @steinhauserNH1 spoke out as did many other NH journalists. To her credit, and I don’t think she knew this happened until it hit the news, Shaheen personally made sure I had access to her future events. She even went out of her way to take a question or two from me at every gaggle or press conference from that point forward.

I saw the national Dem staffer in question the day after the election at the Manchester airport catching a flight back to Washington. He didn’t say a word to me then or ever again the entire campaign.

Anyway, lesson here is if you behave like Kamala Harris team is behaving with this you cause yourself more problems. If you do the classy thing like Shaheen did with me, you probably end up winning.
Thread from a reporter for a conservative (and news-breaking) NH outlet, kept out of the Kamala event

For the 400 people who asked me if the Ohio ad hurt the GOP ticket, the answer is no. I have reviewed today’s numbers.

The top 27 counties in terms of turning out their 2024 presidential vote count remain Trump-won. There are 88 counties.

Athens County, #28 ranked in this and the first blue county we find under this measure, fell from 25th yesterday.

Summit County (Akron) falls from 61 to 63. Cuyahoga (Cleveland) is at 64. Lucas (Toledo), the key county for the new OH-9 boundaries, is at 69th. Hamilton (Cincinnati, OH-1) is at 71st. Franklin County (Columbus) falls from 69 to 77.

Dead last we have Montgomery County, which has remained ranked dead last at 88 for the six days I’ve tracked this spreadsheet. It has 22,898 votes cast (12.2% of its 2022 Sen and 8.9% of its 2024 Pres).

No, the advertisement didn’t do a damn thing.

Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this.

Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts.

It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter.

Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so.

Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa.

Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent.

JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:

"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making erican citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

Dems have multiple key wins in reach in NC/GA.

Reps have multiple key wins in reach in the Industrial and Upper Midwest.

NY is looking like there will be tight statewide races.

In the Southwest, Latino gains are not collapsing to pre-2020 levels as some feared. GOP surpassing expectations in AZ/NV, and likely soon to be known TX.

These themes have been present for some time.
I think what we are seeing play out thus far is a continuation of the ongoing presidential realignment in a midterm environment.

You can almost see the future from here.

Michigan's mail returns still aren't showing a blue tsunami. Since my Oct 16 update: 53k more returns. Counties Trump won now have 47.91%,vs. 47.83% then and 47.12% at this point in '24. Three days later, the redder mix is holding.
Michigan mail update: Trump counties have 47.8% of returns vs. 47.1% at the same point in ’24. Still a redder mix, though the gap is narrowing. Volume remains a third below that presidential year. Not exactly screaming blue tsunami.

“If they don’t like ‘America First,’ they should have the guts to run for office on ‘America Second’ or ‘America Third’ or ‘America Last.’”
