Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:

"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making erican citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

@VP Let me explain how politics works for the morons.

If they want to fix something, like for real, they pass legislation.

If they don't, they put out temporary talking points that fix nothing

@VP Republicans didn’t bypass the filibuster to pass the save act.

They certainly aren’t going to do it for this.

Do you think we’re stupid?

@VPo@FischerKing64 a “wage gap” for foreign scab labor.

They are willingly being “exploited” in order to send money back to their countries and extract as many benefits they are able.

I care only that they are part of a gigantic scam that is taking jobs from Americans and that the programs that allow it be permanently SHUT DOWN.

@VP How many H1Bs are you cancelling and forcing these companies to remove and replace with American workers?
They fired Americans same day without warning: H1Bs can be fired same day without warning. Cancel their visas and force them to do it.

I implore you, ignore everything else, use all your political capital on getting this done

@VP This is simply domestic offshoring. The H-1B visa program has become a redux of 1990s-era NAFTA. Glad to see the VP put the spotlight on this corporate welfare scam.

… now you have to hold the executives and HR managers legally accountable. They did this knowingly, on purpose, for decades.

There must be prosecutions here.

@VPA@Nevertrusttheg3e upset by this. Corporations have been getting away with these hiring practices for nearly 30 years, and I’ve witnessed it firsthand.

It has reached the point where hiring and executive leadership decisions raise serious questions about whether qualifications, experience, and merit are actually the deciding factors.

I've watched highly qualified American professionals get passed over while companies increasingly prioritize international hiring pipelines and internal networks.

Leadership positions should be earned through competence, experience, and results. Not nationality, ethnicity, personal connections, or corporate diversity targets.

**Hire the most qualified person for the job. Period.**

@VP This is not always true
With my H1B visa I worked alongside Americans who earned the SAME as me for the same work. There were not enough Americans at that time with the right credentials who wanted these jobs. (Working in a somewhat underfunded state hospital)

Every month Windward breaks down the disruptions, sanctions moves and dark fleet activity shifting ocean trade, with the vessel behavior data behind them.

See the disruption before it prices in.

@VP @challengerST I had an H-1B all my working career in the US. And I got the visa because an American could not do my job. I got rejected by most investment banks at the time for not being American. There were plenty of Americans for that.

@VP wage gaps track documented practice. Indian-run firms have used North Texas shell companies and ghost offices to undercut American workers in the same roles, converting the H-1B into a low-cost pipeline rather than a channel for unique skills. The numbers reflect that structure.

They were never the “best or brightest”. No Merit. Just hundreds of thousands of stolen jobs from American wives to subsidize below market wages.
