Who knew there is a RFC 8058 that since 2024 require one-click POST urls be available in marketing emails by google and yahoo. ~13% of my email has that header.
And yes, dont worry about the "gibberish" - thats distort mode to enable making screenshots without sharing PII :)

Things also coming in Quarkus 4:
Aesh is now a first class command line option with much faster startup and gives a nice base for @tambouidev … and native swing/awt/Javafx apps .. and file sockets and named pipes…will be interesting :)

After two years of effort, we’re thrilled to announce Quarkus 4.0.0.Beta1 is now available! Give it a spin, migrate your extensions, and share your feedback, it’s much appreciated. We’re targeting the final release by the end of November. buff.ly/9216UHa

Fixing the PR Bottleneck has good stuff. Love the layering approach to make human reviews faster rather than remove them youtu.be/LlgiOCmFG_w?is…

Zulip chat into maildir so notmuch indexes it and my new favourite message/mail reader shows it…this is too useful. Make it stop.

This week I caved and used my precious tokens to get the mail client I always wanted.
Javafx app accessing notmuch + Maildir with 1.500.000+ mails and it’s the fastest gui mail app I’ve ever worked with.
Fun world we are in.

Donald Trump vows to rename artificial intelligence, saying that from now on it will be called "super intelligence" on all official US documents.
The president adds that this "sounds much better" and is more accurate.

Not sure why it taken me this long to realize how awesome notmuch is for my email. “Only” ingested 250.000 messages so far and it still give results near instantly.
Perfect for local agents and with LLM can get exactly the email client I want/need.

Nice ideas in netflixtechblog.com/leave-the-clas…
Modules have too many downsides (too much ceremony) for me to leave them in the rear view mirror but +1 on making them simpler to build with.

If “slop grenade” isn’t the term of the year, I don’t know what is.
Respect your peers’ time. Be thoughtful, even in a world moving this fast.

Lazy work used to mean too little output.
Now, with AI, it often means too much and more work for everyone else.
@tobi call it "slop grenades."
A "Slop Grenade" is when you let AI produce the work and pass it on without adding any value (including checking it).
Someone else catch the mistakes, and clean up the mess.
You save time and look productive but someone else pays for it.
