Dashcam footage from November 1, 2026 shows a Learjet 60 coming down almost vertically and exploding on impact next to Military Trail in the Greenacres area. The jet had taken off from Austin, Texas and was on its way to the Bahamas. Nine people were on board and none of them survived. Right before the crash the crew reported icing, moderate turbulence, and then an overspeed descent of more than 20,000 feet per minute. The impact left a big crater and knocked out power lines. I stopped by the gas station to grab a Red Bull. My usual older cashier was there. As soon as I walked in, he smiled and said, “I restocked the orange ones!”
I happily grabbed two and headed to the checkout.
A guy standing behind me said, “You should be more careful drinking those as a woman.”
