I realized I never followed thorough with posting the notes here, but. This wine def ranged from undrinkable to interesting.

I order Jura wine from time to time now. Another way Sir Patrick Stewart has influenced my life, even though the dramaturgical considerations of Chateau Picard were absurdly neglected by the show.
Well I’ve ordered every wine at K&L from vaguely this region of Burgundy/Jura, and as you can see, the case authentically bears the name ChĆ¢teau Picard. Stay tuned for tasting notes.

Good time to resurface this bit of pedantry that went viral and weirdly made some people angry?
My only question is why the Picard family vineyard switch from VSP trained vines to the Guyot system between TNG episode ā€œFamilyā€ and this series. As LaBarre is in Bourgogne, I’d have expected Guyot the whole time, but why switch?

I once won a Star Trek trivia night while blacked out. I don’t remember winning, but I did wake up with the prize - pair of off-Broadway tickets - in my pants in the floor.

Fortunately for you, I will not be competing.

Come celebrate the life of Sir Pat with us!
Ok! @davidcrawshaw, @ledwards and I are hosting a Star Trek Trivia Night this coming Monday in honor of Sir Patrick Stewart. I'm still finalizing the venue but register here to join us. luma.com/hydyqgll

He’ll never know this but Patrick Stewart showed countless boys how to be men. He showed that strength didn't have to mean intimidation, that intelligence should come with humility, and that you could - and should - stand up for what was right even when it cost you something.

No, not like this! FUCK!
Unappreciated and important: iPhone Duo having a 4:3 aspect ratio is going to make it the best device for watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and Babylon 5 in decades.

Too sad to say much about this. One of the few celebrity deaths that could make me choke up reading it.

One of the great human beings of planet Earth. LLAP šŸ’”

Ok I had a lot to say lol. Or rather Sir Patrick and William Shakespeare did. Remember him the way he wanted to leave his mark and have a good cry.
Sir Patrick’s pandemic sonnets remain one of the greatest works of modernizing Shakespeare of all time.

In 400+ years of Shakespeare, how fortunate we are to have shared the same 20% as Sir Patrick.

Here are a few. I wonder which he’d most want to be remembered with.

Please watch at least one and remember the legend sharing with the world his favorite works of art. 71 is my favorite, the last one is his.

Sonnet 146

Poor soul, the centre of my sinful earth,
Thrall to these rebel powers that thee array,
Why dost thou pine within and suffer dearth,
Painting thy outward walls so costly gay?

Why so large cost, having so short a lease,
Dost thou upon thy fading mansion spend?
Shall worms, inheritors of this excess,
Eat up thy charge? Is this thy body’s end?

Then, soul, live thou upon thy servant’s loss,
And let that pine to aggravate thy store;
Buy terms divine in selling hours of dross;
Within be fed, without be rich no more.

So shalt thou feed on Death, that feeds on men,
And Death once dead, there’s no more dying then.

Leaving on a palette cleanser while typing with tears. Sir Patrick’s all-time favorite. A sonnet about true love.

Thank you @SirPatStew for leaving so many works of beauty in this world. Live long, and prosper. ā¤ļø ā¤ļø ā¤ļø

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds
Or bends with the remover to remove.

O no! it is an ever-fixĆØd mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.

Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
Sonnet 116. Where it all began. I know it. I love it. I’m doing it again. #ASonnetADay
