@dylanarmbruste3 @PsychRabble @DongNguyeb @lakens I'm on the cover of Rod Little's new book, along with Fisher and N-P, in relation to my paper on the LP. Not that he agrees with me.

@genkuroki You recently reposted this apparently. It's important not to overlook how severity is used--to criticize. Claims associated with points in a CI may be warranted with low severity, & this is missed by reports of what's non-rejectable at a level, as a CI does.

A smart and thoughtful gift for your data science friends who would welcome an entre into the foundations of statistics. Price still < $30.

I will read the manuscript you sent with great interest! Thank you! And thanks so much for the pic of my cake from ERROR06. I plan to do another, but it might be 2025-6.
@learnfromerror @lakens @KouMurayama I see ( and understand). There is a nice coincidence: Currently I am preparing an e- mail to @learnfromerror I hope she will find time to read it. A reply would even be better. 🙏

As Philip Stark points out, the p-value depends on lots of previous steps which have their own "thresholds". So reporting a p-value is not some unvarnished report. It might be related to an error prob, but if there's error control at earlier stages.

The (first part of the) answer to the multiple choice question should please the "don't say significant" thought leaders. Surrogate endpoints are a separate issue, but constraints vs data dredging go hand in hand with predesignated thresholds. bmj.com/content/374/bm…
